[Maybe it was a twitch of his paw that turned it on, or a flick of his tail, or maybe he said something in his sleep to trigger it, but the potentially battle-weary inhabitants of Avalon will be able to bear witness to the absolutely adorable sight of a white, fluffy cat, sound asleep.

The screen is too close to him to really make out where he is, but he's definitely asleep.

At least, for a couple of minutes, until a small noise stirs him and one vivid green eye cracks open to fix on the device beside his head.]

Hmm.

[Says the cat, and the sound comes out like a purr.]

I suppose that little blinking light means something.

I know things have been... very difficult lately. [Understatement.] And a lot of people are probably feeling very worried. Now, I'm... not a therapist, or anything like that. I most certainly wouldn't claim to be one at all.

But what I certainly am is somebody who cares about other people. So, I'd like to table an open offer to anyone who might like to just... sit down with a cup of tea, or take a walk, and have a chat. [She pauses here and gives a soft little smile.]

To people who are newer here and who have been here awhile. I'm JJ.

I have a question for all of you, or something to think about. Being in places like this, sometimes there's no obligations like at home. So I want to know -- are there things you still want to learn while you're here? Have you already learned something? What is it that you want to learn?

Where I was before, I wanted to find something new to do, and ended up learning how to pole dance, well, and ballroom dance. But since I don't have a partner here today --

[ And that's when he stands, and shifts towards the pole. He carries the camera with him and positions it somewhere else so there's a nicer view of it. He places both of his hands on the pole and positions himself carefully and works into the first positon. He holds it there for a few moments, then shifts to the ground to change and move into the Butterfly. Only a couple moves for now because to be honest, he'd rather be chatting away. ]

It's totally worth taking up something new. And I guess I should say -- if anyone wants to learn to do a few things here - I'd be happy to show you the ropes.

Reviewing the strategy from a recent battle at home. I want to understand the rational for the decisions taken.

A soldier is engaged in a stealth/undercover mission. However, they have made a mistake that risks the operation's success, and have not realised their error.

The mission commander is in a position to eliminate the operative to preserve their mission, without exposing themselves in the process.

Is that course of action reasonable? To put it another way- under what circumstances would you consider sacrificing one of your own men to ensure a mission's success or to prevent it's failure?

So… does anyone know a way I could get some musical instruments. But, cheap? I don't have a lot of cash since I just got here. It will make my classes easier if I had a cello and a guitar at least. But having access to a keyboard of a full piano would also help.

And, well, recording space. I can use the ones on campus but I'd rather have someplace a little less… crowded. And maybe allow me to be a night owl, I don't want to be a bother during the day.

[Her voice is light, and fairly devoid of emotion, what's there is so stifled, so dilute, that it might be missed if you aren't very keen on the state of others.]

Good afternoon everyone!

For those I've spoken to a while back, and those interested, I've about finished the first batch of ale that I had been working on; a blonde ale. It's a bit strong, so I wouldn't recommend drinking too much of it in one sitting. It's got a bit of a fruity taste with a strong, bitter finish and is quite smooth and refreshing. So for those of you that are not all that big into ales or alcohol in general, but would still like to try some, I'm looking for volunteer taste testers. Feel free to bring along friends and family... of legal drinking age of course.

I don't have much currently but magic has sped the process along exponentially so I shouldn't have too many problems making another batch, should everyone decide that it's fine.

[She's still on the fence about speeding up the whole brewing process. But, well, business is business and all that.]

Oh! And before I forget I'm currently in the process of opening up a beer café as well! I should have it all setup by either the middle or end of this month. The shop will be the same place that I'm currently holding the taste test for the alcohol. I'll have some waffle samples ready to commemorate it, so please be sure to visit on opening day.

Turns out when one is bored, doesn't feel like drawing or reading, and has a familiar that makes silk, this is the end result.

[He holds up a braid of string. The string is pearlescent, and it's crudely braided together, looking like a kid's first attempt to braid their hair or make a friendship bracelet. One can also see four very large spider legs draped over his shoulders, though the rest of the spider is hidden behind him.]

I may have discovered the future of fabrics right here.

[He tugs the string a few times, as if testing its strength.]

So apparently, now we can be influencers on social media! I just got approved to becoming one with my new YouTube channel! This is great.

[He seems very excited. Well he is, because this is best kind of job he can ever have.]

Anyone who is a geek about weapons or armor, this channel is definitely for you! I'm gonna be posting videos about different weapons... you can even make requests about different weapons if you feel like it! But I will also have quests to help demonstrate different things!

I have a question for everyone: Who do we complain to about these new powers we received? My brother got the ability to communicate with computers, something that I'd love to be able to do! But do you know what I got instead?

[ The video moves from showing Pidge's scowling face to showing a small ficus standing in front of a window with her familiar resting in it's leaves. ]

This bush apparently doesn't like being near windows, [ The camera swings back around to show Pidge's face again ] don't even get me started on plants apparently having preferences [ before swinging back around to the plant ], and I can make it do this.

[ The leaves on the ficus all shake at once before the plant slightly sways to one side and then the other.

The camera then returns to showing Pidge.]

Controlling plants might be the most useless ability ever for me! I have allergies!

[ She took a deep breath, held it for a few seconds, and then let it out all at once ]

I'll respond to any replies I get to this after I move the bush into a darker spot.
