Fourth: Myths and Legends, backdated to Valentine's Evening (Video; un: Caster)
[There were advantages and disadvantages to using the money she'd gotten from carrying out Morgana's suspicious request in order to find a larger place to stay. On one hand, she had more space to keep her things and it didn't feel so cramped - she might even have room for a potion-brewing workshop at some point. On the other hand, yes, she had more space to herself, but it was Valentine's Day.
And she was here by herself, without the one person she wanted to spend it with.
After spending a week or so chasing around a man from her world who was responsible for her demise.
Desperate for something to take her mind off all of it, she took to the network to try and find a distraction.
Caster can be seen sitting in a darkened room, face and body mostly hidden by the shadows of her cloak. You know, because that totally didn't look ominous.]
For those who haven't met me yet- I am known as Caster. A pleasure.
As the people who've been brought here are from many different worlds, I can't help but be a little curious. Tell me, what myths and legends are the most well known, where you're from? What about those you personally find the most interesting?
I'd say that the Greek Myths are my personal area of interest, but... picking a favourite would be difficult.
[A hint to who she was, perhaps, but it wasn't as if she'd actually told many people she was a heroic spirit from myth - so it should be a safe comment.]
Either way, feel free to share. I'm curious to know who's myths overlap with the ones I know, as well as learn a little about other people's worlds.
[There was a short pause, before a dark smirk comes into her face. She may have been just a little bitter about the whole cupid arrow nonsense.]
...Ah, and Archer? If you're watching this, I will make you regret humiliating me with those arrows of yours-!

Hey, Caster!
[ Wait, no, still too informal. She clears her throat, straightening out some. ]
Er, that is... Greetings, my lady! I am Lancer, but since I've already given my True Name to others... [ She was so bad at this. ]
Sir Gareth of Orkney, Knight of the Round Table in Service of His Majesty Arthur, King of Britain, at your service!
[ She could get to the stories about myths later, she supposed... ]
no subject
Still that was unusual.]
Another Servant, hm...? Interesting.
You're different to the Lancer from the Holy Grail War I was involved in.
A pleasure to meet you, but...are you sure you should be giving out your True Name so readily like that?
no subject
We've no reason to quarrel here. No Masters, no Grail War, just us and this world and trying to help those within it, or at least find our way back home, if not to some place than to the Throne of Heroes again.
I know it's not proper Heroic Spirit behavior in normal circumstances, but this isn't normal, and if I can, I'd like to be thought of as an ally, or even a friend, while we're both stuck here.

Anyway. Yeah, I'm into mythology. But we're obviously from the same world, or something close enough, so I can't offer you much there.
no subject
and the Lancer i just spoke with puts us at over half
what is your involvement in all of this?
[It didn't sound like this person was a Servant - perhaps he was a Master from a different war?]
no subject
[Even if he had been a Master still when he was whisked away, he'd have ceased to be one as soon as he arrived and that magic was taken from him. It's a little bit of a relief that it was his own failing that lost his Servant and not something like this, beyond his control.
He thinks about leaving it there. But in the end, he can't see a point to being that tight-lipped. So:]
But I'd already stopped being a Master before getting dragged in here.

In the end, she decides to be honest, yet vague.]
All sorts of them. Norse mythology, Mesopotamian, Shinto... there's really all sorts of them, all over the world.
no subject
Ironically, Caster would understand that mindset more than most- as a Heroic Spirit from legend, not only was she well aware of the truth behind the myths from her region, but kept her own identity and involvement quiet.]
of course
wherever there are people legends will follow

But one of my favorite stories is a Faerûnian story about Selûne, the goddess of the moon; and her sister Shar, the goddess of night.
At the beginning of the world, before anything else was created, Selûne and Shar rose out of the primordial essence, identical but polar opposites. They were like two halves of a whole--two complimentary forces of light and dark, but so in sync that they saw themselves as one being.
Together, they created Abeir-Toril and the goddess Chauntea, who blessed the world with life. But there was no fire or heat in the world: The radiance of Selûne's face illuminated the world, and Shar's raven-black hair darkened it. So Chauntea went to Selûne and Shar and asked for warmth to help nurture the life they made. And that was the first time the Selûne and Shar were at odds, being of two minds over whether there should be more life in the world.
Since then, the two goddesses have been locked in battle with each other, and the many aspects of that battle has given rise to all the other deities in the world. When the plane of fire emerged into existence, Selûne reached into it and extracted some essence of fire in order to create the sun.
When Shar saw what Selûne had done, she flew into a rage and began blotting out all life in the world. Desperate to protect that life, Selûne tore out a piece of her own essence and threw it through Shar. The divine projectile tore through the goddess of darkness, binding with some of her essence as well, and created the goddess of magic, Mystryl.
Mystryl was able to broker peace between Selûne and Shar, being a part of each of them; but the fighting had left Selûne weak. Her power became unsteady and fluctuating, and Shar was still determined to have vengeance. So every month, when Selûne's power wanes, Shar kills her and covers the night in darkness. And every month, when Selûne's power returns, the moon shines brightly over the sky again.

[There were a lot, sure, but three million was a huge number in comparison.]
many other beings as well

thank you for taking the time to share
so that explains how the moon changes in the night sky in your world

Good afternoon Miss Caster, if you're interested in folklore I could tell you a few myths from the Low Countries.
no subject
This person seemed...remarkably cheerful. She wasn't sure how she attracted these sorts.]
Good afternoon. Yes, I'd like to hear some, if you have the time.
[The Low Countries...Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, if she remembered correctly? Not areas she was particularly familiar with.]
because i'm typing on my phone, have a youtube link!
