Fourth: Myths and Legends, backdated to Valentine's Evening (Video; un: Caster)
[There were advantages and disadvantages to using the money she'd gotten from carrying out Morgana's suspicious request in order to find a larger place to stay. On one hand, she had more space to keep her things and it didn't feel so cramped - she might even have room for a potion-brewing workshop at some point. On the other hand, yes, she had more space to herself, but it was Valentine's Day.
And she was here by herself, without the one person she wanted to spend it with.
After spending a week or so chasing around a man from her world who was responsible for her demise.
Desperate for something to take her mind off all of it, she took to the network to try and find a distraction.
Caster can be seen sitting in a darkened room, face and body mostly hidden by the shadows of her cloak. You know, because that totally didn't look ominous.]
For those who haven't met me yet- I am known as Caster. A pleasure.
As the people who've been brought here are from many different worlds, I can't help but be a little curious. Tell me, what myths and legends are the most well known, where you're from? What about those you personally find the most interesting?
I'd say that the Greek Myths are my personal area of interest, but... picking a favourite would be difficult.
[A hint to who she was, perhaps, but it wasn't as if she'd actually told many people she was a heroic spirit from myth - so it should be a safe comment.]
Either way, feel free to share. I'm curious to know who's myths overlap with the ones I know, as well as learn a little about other people's worlds.
[There was a short pause, before a dark smirk comes into her face. She may have been just a little bitter about the whole cupid arrow nonsense.]
...Ah, and Archer? If you're watching this, I will make you regret humiliating me with those arrows of yours-!

some people never keep their end of the bargain and are then shocked when you finally retaliate
they never learn their lesson
there are many tales of revenge aren't there? it is a common theme in greek myth as well
[As for the last one...guess who else has particular feelings about it?]
she definitely should have killed that prince for going after another after she gave so much for him! selfish man

A lot about revenge and consequences.
Some might feel that way. Others would look at it differently. He never asked her to do anything for him. She chose all of her actions herself. Her actions don't oblige him to respond. And in some version of the story, he's seeking out the woman who saved him but doesn't remember what she looks like, so he's misled to believe it was someone else who swoops in to pose as his savior. And the poor mermaid hasn't the language to communicate her identity to him without her voice. The sea witch likely set up the mermaid for failure on purpose - to see her suffer in futility. Favors and assistance from others come at a price, but that doesn't mean the conditions others set will be fair.

i wonder if vengeance really is a more common theme than i realise
the sea witch sounds much like the gods
twisting people's emotions and power for their own gain and setting them up to fail
it is unfair how she used the mermaid like that although i still think that man was in the wrong for not taking the time to find out the truth about her after she gave so much for him
but he's not as selfish as some i suppose

The gods or just master manipulators with the right power or connections. Even mortals can do that in other ways.
Everyone in that story has some degree of fault or responsibility for the outcome. It's something of a perfect storm. Interpret the degree as you see fit.

it's only natural to want to make the ones who have wronged you suffer
yes mortals with enough power can do much the same thing
a perfect storm hm? there are a fair few myths that follow a pattern similar to that. few people are truly blameless

it is the person who drove you to that who should hold the blame

But I'm pretty sure it'd be a waste of my time and yours to try and debate this with someone so utterly convinced of that view. There's nothing for me to gain from it either.
Have a good day learning about folklore and shit.

[And that's all the comment she'll make on that.]
