Fourth: Myths and Legends, backdated to Valentine's Evening (Video; un: Caster)
[There were advantages and disadvantages to using the money she'd gotten from carrying out Morgana's suspicious request in order to find a larger place to stay. On one hand, she had more space to keep her things and it didn't feel so cramped - she might even have room for a potion-brewing workshop at some point. On the other hand, yes, she had more space to herself, but it was Valentine's Day.
And she was here by herself, without the one person she wanted to spend it with.
After spending a week or so chasing around a man from her world who was responsible for her demise.
Desperate for something to take her mind off all of it, she took to the network to try and find a distraction.
Caster can be seen sitting in a darkened room, face and body mostly hidden by the shadows of her cloak. You know, because that totally didn't look ominous.]
For those who haven't met me yet- I am known as Caster. A pleasure.
As the people who've been brought here are from many different worlds, I can't help but be a little curious. Tell me, what myths and legends are the most well known, where you're from? What about those you personally find the most interesting?
I'd say that the Greek Myths are my personal area of interest, but... picking a favourite would be difficult.
[A hint to who she was, perhaps, but it wasn't as if she'd actually told many people she was a heroic spirit from myth - so it should be a safe comment.]
Either way, feel free to share. I'm curious to know who's myths overlap with the ones I know, as well as learn a little about other people's worlds.
[There was a short pause, before a dark smirk comes into her face. She may have been just a little bitter about the whole cupid arrow nonsense.]
...Ah, and Archer? If you're watching this, I will make you regret humiliating me with those arrows of yours-!

[Odin was the God of Knowledge, wasn't he? She could only imagine what something like that would grant.]
no subject
[ But that could also meant it was a lost artifact, ripe for anyone with enough gumption to discover... ]
It'd be quite the adventure to quest for it, though...
no subject
[Yup, definitely not Chaldea's Medea, that's for sure.]
I imagine...I can think of at least a few heroes who would enjoy such a quest, if it truly does exist.
no subject
I'd love to quest for it, myself! Though I guess unless directed by a Master, my questing days are kind of behind me, aren't they?
[ A small laugh. ]
no subject
Besides, it's not as if my Master is- I came here alone, so-
[She couldn't help her voice catching as she spoke, the painful sinking void in her chest reminding her how long it had been since she'd last seen her precious Master. The unknown ending to their fight. Exactly what day it was and how far away she was from the one person she wanted to spend it with.
Caster glanced away from the phone, leaning back where she was sitting so she was a little more in shadow. But her voice was quieter than it had been when she spoke again.]
...What I mean is, we don't need to wait for orders if we wish to act, here.
no subject
She missed her Master. And maybe her bond wasn't as deep as Caster's was with her own, but she felt it, all the same. ]
I offer my apologies, my lady...
no subject
[The pain in her voice seemed to ease slightly at the apology. Although she was partially aware that she was letting a potential enemy servant see the grief eating away at her... Gareth's acknowledgement of how she was suffering did go a little way to easing it. After all, another Servant would understand better than most.]
Who can be drawn here is...only a matter of who the familiars can bond with.
no subject
So I've been told. But you don't have to worry about someone like me... I've quested without my brothers before, I can do it again. And even without my Master here, I will set an example that reflects proudly on them.
So... know I'm someone you can depend on, Caster, should it ever come to need.
no subject
She was...glad she had people to talk to, at least. And despite being an enemy Servant, she seemed kind enough to not deem as someone untrustworthy immediately.]
...I appreciate that. If you're a knight as you say, I'm sure you'll be able to make yourself at home, here.
no subject
I certainly aim to. Can't go making my own Camelot look bad, right?
no subject
[The dragon peered at the phone a moment to see who she was talking to, before settling for curling up on Caster's lap.]
no subject
[ That little skele-dragon was really cute... She hoped she got to meet them in person, at some point. ]
no subject
[From what she could tell, Gareth was certainly capable of that. It did make her wonder if there was a version of this world's Gareth wondering around as well.]
...You never did answer my question. What is this Chaldea you mentioned?
[She'd actually been told a little about it from one of the people she spoke to when she first arrived- although the name itself hadn't been used.
It did strike her, though, that perhaps this was not the best time.]
Don't feel obligated to explain now. We can talk at a later date on a less public forum, if you would prefer.
no subject
[ It wasn't really a problem to explain. Sure, it was meant to be a secret organization on some level, but that seemed to be more from humans in general, rather than the particular circumstances she was in now. ]
no subject
It sounds like this organisation you're talking about.
[That was about all she knew on the subject, though.]
no subject
Did you happen to catch that person's name?
[ Gareth lit up. Was her uncle perhaps mistaken? Was there actually someone who knew Chaldea about? ]
no subject
['Marie' on it's own hadn't been enough for Caster to figure out who she was, and she hadn't particularly looked into it.]
...The idea of a Master having that many Servants under their command is- I still don't understand how that would be possible.
no subject
She gave a small shrug, a shake of her head.
It's all beyond my understanding, too. Magecraft and the like was all my big weakness, as a knight. It's why Merlin had to design my lance, to be able to use mana at all.
no subject
[Academically speaking, even without it's power, she was very curious to examine the result of another Caster Class Servant's item creation- Well, she was assuming he was a Caster Class, it was hard to think of another that would fit.]
Even as a skilled Magus myself, it is a little difficult to fathom how so much mana could be drawn from one person...if that person is your Master as well, they must be very skilled.
i swear i need, like, to be pinched each time i forget to format something
He was advisor to my King, and he provided me with this lance to better suit my abilities, and compensate for my lack of ability to make use of my own mana.
what is formatting anyway
[Merlin seemed an obvious candidate, after all.]
Well, I'd be curious to see the lance itself, if it were brought to this world with you.
no subject
[ Gareth bounced up, running to grab the object in question, bringing it into view ]
So... okay it works with these mana charges, and you load them into the chamber right here, and it basically uses the mana stored inside of them to make the lance harder or imbue it with other magical properties!
no subject
That...is impressive.
[For now though she's leaning in to the screen to take a closer look.]
...Certainly, the craftsmanship is skilled.
no subject
[ She examines the lance for a moment, spinning the chamber and unloading one of the shells from its place, the azure glow casting onto her face as she brings it closer to her. ]
Though, I should probably see if these shells can be re-charged here...
no subject
But regardless, your skill must be impressive as well, to wield something like that effectively.
[She watched Gareth examine the lance a moment, before the question came up-]
Ah- I believe I saw the Elphame Traders advertising magical weapon enhancements. You might be best placed speaking with them.
