For those of you who knew Eri, I'm afraid she has left the world. Given the recent development in Avalon, I'm sure that's for the best. It's getting quite a lot to handle for someone who's six.

[Kadoc doesn't default to video, but for something like this, it feels like the only right way to go about this. The camera is pointed at him sitting outside on a stump, clearly somewhere on the city outskirts where the civilization thins out and becomes countryside, but there is a building complex of some sort visible in the background.]

Hey. I'll make this pretty quick. Some of you might remember Tanaka. He was running an animal shelter and a stable while he was here, and I was working for him. But now that he's gone . . . I wasn't about to abandon the wildlife he was taking care of, but he was an Animal Mage. I'm not. And with all the animal refugees coming in after the crisis, there's a lot more work to do, and I'll have to expand.

[He pauses here, glancing behind himself back at the compound before he looks back at the camera—or at least, he faces it. One gets the impression he wouldn't be making eye contact if there were eyes there to contact.]

I probably should've edited together some kinda tacky video with footage of adorable animals in need and some sad music, but I didn't, so instead I'll just say that if anyone wants a job, I'm looking for Animal Mages, Healers, and anyone else who's good with wildlife or has veterinary or equestrian experience. And if anyone finds a sick, injured, or stray animal that needs rehab or a permanent place to stay, you can bring it here. We can board and care for horses, too, if you've gotten one recently and need a place for it. Let me know if you're interested in helping out.

I know a lot of us are off on a journey, but I wanted to return to the subject of the animal parts curse. It's caused us a lot of trouble and while finding the guy who made the posting about killing mages is important, I think we should find the people who made the curse happen. They might have not wanted killings to happen, but they did happen so they are partially responsible.

[He's not used to doing this kind of stuff, but he is a natural born leader so he's not that nervous, at least.]

I think we can all agree this wasn't something that could be done with just animal magic, so we should figure out what else was involved. Alchemy? Just regular potions? Whatever a normal ritual needs? I think if we figure that out we can start finding leads.

The ingredients for potions have to have come from somewhere, after all. Surely some ingredients can only be found by certain means.

We should probably keep the crucial details out of the network though - or at least keep them private.

This is more personal curiosity than anything too important but I wanted to ask how many of us have some sort of military experience?

[Yeah, he's sixteen and asking about military stuff. Really normal.]

Military isn't really something I feel like we need here, with the knights and all, but military skills are something I would very much like to keep up with.

Of course I do train with my girlfriend, but interacting with different sorts of military types is important too.

[Hello network, there is one stoic looking girl posting a video here today. She seems to be somewhere outside, maybe in a park and texting would have been easier with her social skills but well... She'll just get to her point and get this done this way.]

I'm looking for sparring partners for martial arts or any magic against elemental magic. No idea which style my combat skills are since back in my world they really didn't pay attention to things like martial art names -- though it's most likely a mix of some styles.

My blades didn't come here with me but if locals or anyone else can borrow a sword or other weapons to me, then sparring with those could be an option too.

I think I need some assistance. I've gained Animal magic as my type of magic. The problem is that my knowledge in animals is pretty limited. I didn't even know what sort of an animal my own familiar was until he told me.

So, would you tell me about what kind of animals you know of? It would help if you have a way of showing me what they look like... but just descriptions can probably carry me a long way.

I know basic farm animals, some forest animals and cats and dogs. I also remember otters from the previous place I was at. Oh and some birds.

[But that's pretty much it.]

Just assume I don't know something.
