I know a lot of us are off on a journey, but I wanted to return to the subject of the animal parts curse. It's caused us a lot of trouble and while finding the guy who made the posting about killing mages is important, I think we should find the people who made the curse happen. They might have not wanted killings to happen, but they did happen so they are partially responsible.

[He's not used to doing this kind of stuff, but he is a natural born leader so he's not that nervous, at least.]

I think we can all agree this wasn't something that could be done with just animal magic, so we should figure out what else was involved. Alchemy? Just regular potions? Whatever a normal ritual needs? I think if we figure that out we can start finding leads.

The ingredients for potions have to have come from somewhere, after all. Surely some ingredients can only be found by certain means.

We should probably keep the crucial details out of the network though - or at least keep them private.

[It isn't usually within his interests to involve himself in this kind of nonsense, at least when he isn't being paid, so Red Wine has been staying out of this for the most part despite being affected by the curse, but...

Jean makes a good point. People have been hunted down and killed due to the actions of those people, whether or not that was what they meant to happen. They ought to face the consequences of those actions.]

Mm, no. What I have is experience in seeking out people who don't want to be discovered.

[Armin's not here, so guess who's busy looking through all the books, that could possibly have any clues about what it could be? Also, she's in the same room as Jean, so she's no network from her today either but Mikasa glances up from her current book once he's finished with that video.]

Not that Mikasa's one to talk, she's been a target back home through all of her life -- and besides, anyone coming after Jean may be missing the crucial information, that Mikasa spends most of her time with him. So good luck to anyone trying to hurt him, wouldn't be the first or last time when she stops that from happening.]

[Jean looks at Mikasa with a slightly confused look before shrugging.]

Better me than one of the kids, for example. Besides, I have the best bodyguard anyone could ask for.

[Mikasa looks at Jean, smiles and lets out some kind of an amused huff at the compliment. She doesn't even say anything. Instead she just pulls him closer to kiss him.]

Fine. Good points.

[... and then one more kiss. Maybe it is not the right moment to steal all of his attention to herself.]

[Well, currently Jean is mostly waiting for any replies, so it's not the worst moment either to kiss a bit more.]

[Oh, is that so? Well then, don't mind her when she puts the book away for a moment and then all of her attention is on kissing with him.]

[As long as they don't get too distracted~ Jean moves his hand to play with her hair a little.]

[Depends on how anyone defines too distracted... She smiles at that and there is so much hair for Jean to play with these days. Meanwhile Mikasa starts drawing random things -- mostly hearts -- to his back.]

[Uh, distracted enough not to hear notifications? At least Jean hopes he didn't put his phone on silent.

There are some pleasant small shivers running on Jean's back. He decides to kiss her nose and forehead next.]

[Mikasa wouldn't mind if his phone was on silent mode... Though she is not going to distract him for too long.

There he goes, ending the kiss and making her smile at those cute other kisses, while she keeps her eyes closed for a while after that too and just hugs him.]

Maybe I should go make something to eat.

That might be a good idea... I can come over to the sit near the island to read some of the books to keep you company.

There are worse things than having animal features. I'm not inclined to killing anyone over it. Maybe it was an accident? Who the fuck knows. We could speculate all day long.

Have you tried talking to local potion sellers or alchemists, or is this just your attempt to gather everyone up?

Anyone with a sense wouldn't start killing people over animal features. I just want the people who did the ritual to actually face consequences... maybe community service.

We've done our own independent research so far, but I though that finding others to help is better than trying to figure this on our own.

Just community service? I feel like that's the only punishment I ever fuckin' hear about.

Not that I think they should be put to death either or anything. [Just seems like a lame punishment considering he's been detained, drugged, beaten, and then questioned. It's either been that or no law enforcement at all.]

I'm happy with my animal features. Nice change of pace.
