Saving multiple worlds -- no, multiple universes, do you think that is enough to erase the sins that a person has committed?
Or is this merely what is right for those that are sinners?
Perhaps, redemption is beyond us and we can only do a little bit of good before judgement.

Or do you feel that there is no point to addressing it?
Forgive me if this is intrusive..
Human norms are still strange to me.
I am curious to know why you would think of yourself so.
[ Pot, meet kettle, but no way is she letting a mortal worry for her when they seem to have all the problems ever... ]

I accepted that due to where we presently find ourselves.
However, I am not human.
I am an angel.
An angel that lies when asked directly about if the claims he makes is about himself or not. I suppose that is one more sin to add to the pile.
Redemption should not come to someone who is unwilling to stand by their word, and I believe I've proven I cannot be trusted to tell the truth.
no subject
Forgive my assumption.
Every person I have encountered here so far has been mortal.
I know of angels,
Though I never knew those beings could lie at all except under command
So unless you are lying by choice
I wouldn't call your actions a sin.
I haven't met any before you, though.
May I look at you?
Is there a way to do so through this device?
no subject
It is fine.
You wouldn't call it a sin? Why?
There may be a way to look through this device.
I shall have to look into it more.
Should I take your words to mean that you're also an angel?
no subject
Isn't that plain?
Under the influence and command of another
Your actions are as they will, not you.
If you cannot choose to not lie,
Then the sin of lying isn't yours.
It's the sin of the one making you lie.
I am not an angel, though.
I've heard mortals call us "youkai" and some call us "demons"
But I am an Oracle and Princess of the Foxes.
We are Spiritkind.
And not from the Demon King's realm.
That is where the real shadow dwellers and "demons" and "devils" come from.
Is that the same for you?
no subject
Even if a person tells you to do wrong, you should still do right.
Demon, huh?
Well, the Savior was also a demon before he ascended to be a god.
In short, you need not fear that I will find you to be my enemy purely because I am an angel.
The same for me?
All demons come from Hell and slip past through the lesser Hell Gates.
The true Hell Gate, however, was once sealed by the Savior in order to protect mankind.

Did you ever want to?
If someone else was deciding for you
And you had no means to fight it
The blame doesn't lie with you.
You sound capable of remorse, though.
That is a step in the right direction.
Though, why would I be your enemy?
Angels are not very different from Demons, where I come from.
One comes from light, and the other from shadow.
One cannot exist without the other.
Both are capable of committing evil to one another,
but they are just as capable of kindness in the right situation.
... is that not how they work in your realm?
no subject
I chose to look the other way.
The reason doesn't matter why.
If you know something is wrong but choose to let yourself have the blood of innocents' on your hands, you are still wrong.
There does not need to be a step anywhere.
I am remorseful, but I do not deserve forgiveness or redemption.
That is not how it works in my realm, no.
There is only one demon that showed kindness and offered up a truly, great sacrifice -- and he transcended to become a god.
The Savior -- The Dark-Knight Sparda.

But few are beyond redemption, you know.
If you refuse to take the steps to correct yourself when you know you've done wrong
Then you're no better than when you were turning a blind eye to evil while it happened.
It's what you do now that matters. Will you let yourself stagnate?
Or will you work towards forgiveness?
If not for yourself, then do it for someone you've any love for.
[ She'll address the whole Savior thing later. ]

It is my own fault in my wording, I suppose.
I intend to do good, and I intend to fight to save these worlds.
I don't, however, intend to accept forgiveness or redemption should it come to me.
[ The ones who love him would want him to forgive himself, but he cannot. He was the commander of the Holy Knights. His duty was to the people and his family, and he failed them both. ]
no subject
You've a very strange outlook.
But if that is your choice, then that is your choice.
I just hope you will not be unwilling to change your mind, within good reason, when you've done as much as you could.
I can only hope that you will find some joys in your work and aid.
What exactly did you do, to make you so adamant on this way of thinking?
no subject
[ WELL YOU SEE ]
Innocent blood was spilled. Those that trusted me were slain -- sometimes by my own sword. [ It doesn't matter that they became demons and lost all sense of reason. Killing them may have been a mercy but he is the one that convinced them to undergo the experimentation. ]
I don't take all blame. I only take the blame that is my due. [ Some of what happened is because of Sanctus. He knows this; he believes the man overstepped his bounds and showed himself to have no love in his heart for mankind or the world. ] But my sins do go on. [ Indeed, they go on and on. ]

I've many questions, but
It sounds like what has been done has been done.
I would be happy to hear of it all, should you need to speak of it.
I cannot imagine it being easy to carry the memory of such pain without letting go, a bit.
Will you tell me more about yourself?
What sort of work were you involved in?
Do you have family, too?
no subject
Little by little, I let it accumulate.
If I didn't want to carry it, I shouldn't have picked it up to start with.
But I appreciate your offer all the same.
If you like to know more, I will share what I can.
I was a commander of a religious order.
Those two questions are quite odd -- why ask if I have family?
no subject
There's a difference between bearing one out of choice, and one that you're resigned to.
I apologize... perhaps I'm just missing my own.
My family, that is.
So I suppose I wanted to know if your work kept you from your own.
1/3
I chose to only do harm, and so I choose to carry these sins.

We are separated from our loved ones, and so it makes sense to want to seek a connection with others.
My work kept me from my own, yes.
My sister and the man that eventually came to marry my sister.
[ Or as married as they could be. ]

She smiles a bit, interrupting her own thoughts as he speaks of siblings and family. ]
You've a sibling, too.
Mine own are a bit too young to be wed,
But it is nice to see that angels seem to work similarly.
We have not introduced ourselves.
I am called Kitsuno, the Princess and Oracle of Sawa.
Who have I been addressing all this time?
no subject
She's still human.
Still, I'd like for her to remain that way.
I am Credo.
I have no title anymore.
