Saving multiple worlds -- no, multiple universes, do you think that is enough to erase the sins that a person has committed?

Or is this merely what is right for those that are sinners?

Perhaps, redemption is beyond us and we can only do a little bit of good before judgement.

The deeds of the past are done. Unless you find a way to reach through time and undo what has been done, they won't be erased. But, you can still choose what you want to do today.

So, what will you do today?

You used the word "us" when you were writing. That implies you are included, doesn't it?

Hello,
I hope this finds you in good health.
Why do you call people sinners?
I await your answer.

[ IS THIS HOW TEXTING WORKS, she's not sure. ]

[ Mood, Credo. ]

I know of sin, but
I cannot conceive of everyone being a sinner
Is there a reason you think they are so?
Can you tell when they've sinned?

[ Hmm, he's not using polite text like they would when sending messages in writing. Perhaps this is how it works? ]
angel_of_death: (Come again?)

tt, why do you no longer look like typewriter text...

[personal profile] angel_of_death 2020-12-14 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
[It might have been better to use the word "them" instead, he thinks, if whoever it is wanted to avoid having the sentiment attributed to them personally. But, of course, had whoever it is used "them" instead of "us", it's entirely possible someone might have thought they had someone else specific in mind.]

So, you were waxing philosophical?

[ Texting is hard but she has been practicing since her arrival so... maybe this is fine. As long as her message is getting across... ]

You needn't apologize.
Mortals are prone to mistakes, just the same as any others.
Though what you call sin
I would just call guilt.

Some may not have the means to absolve themselves
And some may not want to.

What is it that you want?
Is there "sin" you wish to absolve yourself of?
angel_of_death: (Idiots don't ever learn)

[personal profile] angel_of_death 2020-12-14 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
[That's a silly question to ask.]

Would it matter if I were? You think how you think, and I think how I think. We aren't obligated to think like each other.

[It's odd to him to spend time pondering over things like that without a personal connection to the subject, but he is not them.]

[personal profile] foxtouched 2020-12-14 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
You are kind to think so.
But is it not about you?
Here it sounded like you meant you did not see yourself fit to be redeemed,
together with the sinners you speak of.
angel_of_death: (You talk I'll multitask)

[personal profile] angel_of_death 2020-12-14 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
[That, at least, is a sentiment he can agree with.]

In that case, I'll say one more thing before I go. Wax philosophical if you want to, but don't let it get the better of you. You'll be wasting your own time if you do.
foxtouched: (β˜… 049)

[personal profile] foxtouched 2020-12-14 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
Is that something you feel that you can speak of?
Or do you feel that there is no point to addressing it?
Forgive me if this is intrusive..
Human norms are still strange to me.

I am curious to know why you would think of yourself so.

never thought I'd see you use the internet
It's kiiiinda making me cringe

Anyway, I don't know anything about sin and stuff, but if you ask me, saving all the worlds would be pretty damn badass
Not even Sparda did that, and he wasn't exactly innocent before he decided to save humanity

So it was about you.

You should probably talk about this with someone whose opinions you value.

That depends. Regardless of what happened, how far would that person go to redeem themselves?

If it’s in the past, they need to prove to others that have changed.

Those who are sinners should not preoccupy themselves with thoughts considering whether or not it is β€œenough”. They simply must do what is necessary to strive for that redemption, no matter how far beyond their reach it may appear.

I am not a very religious person

[Perhaps he once was and maybe still believes in few of the Astrals but the others...]

I don't think redemption is beyond anyone. However, there will always be consequences for one's actions, as well as punishment if the /sin/ goes into the crime terittory
