Saving multiple worlds -- no, multiple universes, do you think that is enough to erase the sins that a person has committed?

Or is this merely what is right for those that are sinners?

Perhaps, redemption is beyond us and we can only do a little bit of good before judgement.

You're mistaken on a few things, I'm afraid.
It is my own fault in my wording, I suppose.
I intend to do good, and I intend to fight to save these worlds.

I don't, however, intend to accept forgiveness or redemption should it come to me.

Innocent blood was spilled. Those that trusted me were slain -- sometimes by my own sword. [ It doesn't matter that they became demons and lost all sense of reason. Killing them may have been a mercy but he is the one that convinced them to undergo the experimentation. ]

I don't take all blame. I only take the blame that is my due. [ Some of what happened is because of Sanctus. He knows this; he believes the man overstepped his bounds and showed himself to have no love in his heart for mankind or the world. ] But my sins do go on. [ Indeed, they go on and on. ]

I've many questions, but
It sounds like what has been done has been done.
I would be happy to hear of it all, should you need to speak of it.
I cannot imagine it being easy to carry the memory of such pain without letting go, a bit.

This weight of mine is one that I chose to bear.
Little by little, I let it accumulate.
If I didn't want to carry it, I shouldn't have picked it up to start with.
But I appreciate your offer all the same.

If you like to know more, I will share what I can.
I was a commander of a religious order.
Those two questions are quite odd -- why ask if I have family?

There's a difference between bearing one out of choice, and one that you're resigned to.

There is little to apologize for.
We are separated from our loved ones, and so it makes sense to want to seek a connection with others.
My work kept me from my own, yes.
My sister and the man that eventually came to marry my sister.
