Hello, everyone. My name is Weiss Schnee. I'm a Huntress from a world called Remnant. [ A pause, and she looks away from the camera for a split second because she knows how strange the name may be for an entire world. There's a backstory to that, but she won't go into it. Her world's history isn't exactly something that should be blurted out in public. ]

I know that most have more pressing matters at hand, but I'm hoping you would give me a bit of your time—

I'd like to learn about the other worlds out there. Specifically, prior to finding yourself in this realm, did you believe in other worlds apart from the one you lived in to exist? Was it even possible to willingly travel from one world to another? I'm talking about portals or some other method of getting there.

Oh! [ She seems to brighten up when she remembers something. Right, now for a less serious topic— ] Has anyone else mastered the art of Siphon Magic? I'd love yo hear your thoughts on how you did it, and what things you can do with it.

Other worlds weren't much of a stretch for me to believe in, though I hadn't given them entirely too much thought before coming here.

[Did Tickington count, she wonders? Those 'worlds' they visited through those books were so similar to their own, she had never really considered they might be worlds apart from Erdrea. The explanation given on exactly what they were had been lacking, but she does have some potentially useful information for Weiss.]

Travel through time was not unheard of, either. It certainly wasn't common, and perhaps not the same thing, but certainly just as strange. Perhaps that's what made all of this so easy to take in stride— well, for a given definition of easy.

[ And she's honestly a little surprised at how easily the time travel thing comes to her like this! Because that was going to be her next question if travelling from one world to another was a possibility outside of this realm. ]

How was travelling through time done? Oh— is that even something you can disclose?

I never thought that there were other worlds like this one--or that I'd have the chance to meet others from different worlds like this! It really is amazing. But... it sounds a little like you were able to travel to other worlds before.

Oh, no! I haven't. Unless you could being in another world similar to Avalon, prior to being here, then yes.

[ She waves her hands dismissively, denying the notion. ]

But I know something like that can happen in Remnant now. So... I want to learn more about it.

The idea of other worlds is... difficult to answer. From what I understand, they normally can't sustain their own existence before the timeline corrects itself, but some of the people I met aren't just from alternate versions of human history, but like... completely different and unique worlds entirely, so the rules I only half understand don't seem to be applying here.

At home... yes and no, I guess. There was some shit involving a pocket dimension, anyway. 'Properly occupied Other World' I'm not so sure about, but the Dark Hour was a thing.

[So was the labyrinth thingy Shirogane unearthed memories of. Not to mention the pocket dimensions that came after the Dark Hour, and god only knows what came before it.]

Last place I was stuck before this? Whole purpose of it was world-hopping bullshit. We were just startin' to figure out ways we could maybe do it ourselves, without the people who set up the whole thing involved.

A pocket dimension... I'm not exactly sure what that means. A smaller "world", so to speak? Pockets are for small things.

And this "world hopping" thing— did you learn how to do it by yourselves? Or did something happen in between that prevented you from doing so?

Already knew one existed before coming here. Great place to visit if you like fighting monsters. Only a few of us knew of its existence and could go there willingly through small portals throughout the city. At times we'd be summoned to battle when a bunch of them gathered. The place is called the Grimwald Nox.

Who would summon you? And how did you come to know of the world's existence, in the first place?

I can answer both of your questions.

First, only the army I was a part of, the Shepherds, know about other realms. It wasn't exactly on purpose, and to be honest, I'd prefer we stay away from such things. We have enough troubles in our own realm.

And I do know someone who wields Siphon - my roommate, Caster. She's saved my life with it, so if you ask me, I would certainly consider that "mastering".

I'm guessing from your username that you're a member of the Shepherds. [ A beat, then she continues further to ask about the other stuff. ] Are the Shepherds able to travel from one realm to the other?

And Caster— [ Ah, that is. . . familiar. Though she's not quite sure if she should suddenly go blurting out what she knows of Servants. At least, it is familiar because she knows that there is a Caster class of Servants. She may be wrong! ] What did she do, if you don't mind sharing?

What did you hunt?

Amerigo Vespucci circumnavigated the new world, but my home was extremely closed off from everyone else by ocean, and our own petty squabbles. I wouldn't have minded seeing any parts of Europe, or the other continents, but I couldn't leave until my work was finished.

Magic isn't real there, and I spent decades having to deal with fools who believed it was, and trying to convince people or trick others' desires for it into their own selfish demonic gains.

I have met people who traveled via wormholes into the past. [Well, one, that he knows of. But he suspects there's been others (there has!) -- especially now that he knows Date Masamune apparently was born earlier than in other timelines and a few other things!] I'm not sure how common that is yet. Even for the people it happened to, it was exceptionally rare and relatively unheard of outside of fiction. Perhaps there's such a thing as too much skepticism in that event.

Oh! [ Right - the title of Huntsmen and Huntresses can be misleading, after all. Weiss only looks a little shy that she has to clarify, but she chalks it up to being disoriented for not being able to provide more information right off the bat. ] Huntsmen and Huntresses in Remnant hunt monsters called the Creatures of Grimm. Though... nowadays, we have bigger and worse enemies to fight.

[ The rest of what she hears seem informative, but there's a lot she would like to ask. In fact, she may be seen looking away from the camera for a second or two every now and then. She is taking down notes. ]

i never believed in other worlds at home..... i believed the universe was vast and complicated, but this experience exceeded my imagination by far. we have a spirit realm that's otherworldly but real in my world, but i didn't know much about it or experience it firsthand ever. everything was pretty pertinent to what was happening in our world, even if aliens are real or whatever. never thought too much about it.
until finding myself on another planet ten months ago. and then in this world four months ago.
so did i believe in other worlds before arriving here... prior to being spirited away: no.
prior to arriving in Avalon: yes.
but it was still a shock.

I think it always will be a shock to anyone. Imagine believing that your world is so big, only to find out how small it is compared to other things. That there are things beyond your control because there are creatures out there who are far stronger than you are and can easily destroy the world you live in in a flash.

It's just all so concerning. Time has stopped now and we're here to change everything, but... how many people would be going back to their worlds where everything is falling apart? I just wish there was something we could do about that, too.

If there is a separate dimension called the Dark Hour in my world, why wouldn't there be other worlds?

I'm finding the idea of other worlds to exist a lot easier to comprehend than an extra hour in a day... But this is the first time I've heard of it, so it'll take some time to grasp the idea.

Prior to coming here, I had believed that the possibility of other worlds existed, but I had never had the chance to try visiting them myself. From my understanding, though, a couple friends of mine that are here have experience with other worlds.

Well... I've experienced it, but I'm not sure it counts? I only end up in other versions of my own world, it feels like. To the point I meet the same people, doing similar things most of the time, fighting the same enemies. It's very strange. I'd almost like to be able to travel somewhere that isn't visibly just my own home. Still... it's an experience, in its own way.

I lived in a nexus world prior to coming here. It's a place where any number of different worlds, different times, and different versions come together. Usually portals, but sometimes people just ended up there -- kind of like coming here, except the lake wasn't mandatory. If you knew where the portals were, though, no problem. I commuted back and forth from there to my Earth.

Is... your world naturally like that?

[ The portals - were they meant to be there? Can people just really come and go as they pleased? ]

Oh, it must have a different meaning elsewhere. [ Huntsmen and Huntresses, she means! Weiss is happy to clarify— ] There aren't any restrictions to be a Huntsman, as long as you study at a licensed Huntsman academy and get your license after all of it.
