Hello, everyone. My name is Weiss Schnee. I'm a Huntress from a world called Remnant. [ A pause, and she looks away from the camera for a split second because she knows how strange the name may be for an entire world. There's a backstory to that, but she won't go into it. Her world's history isn't exactly something that should be blurted out in public. ]

I know that most have more pressing matters at hand, but I'm hoping you would give me a bit of your time—

I'd like to learn about the other worlds out there. Specifically, prior to finding yourself in this realm, did you believe in other worlds apart from the one you lived in to exist? Was it even possible to willingly travel from one world to another? I'm talking about portals or some other method of getting there.

Oh! [ She seems to brighten up when she remembers something. Right, now for a less serious topic— ] Has anyone else mastered the art of Siphon Magic? I'd love yo hear your thoughts on how you did it, and what things you can do with it.

Anyway, I think that's all I need for now. Thank you for your time. [ A small smile and a wave at the camera before she turns the feed off! ]

By no one, do you mean... [ A pause. Does Emerald not know about Ruby, Blake, and Yang yet? ] Is it just me, Pyrrha, and Raven whom you've met here?

Yeah. I haven't exactly been hanging out waiting for new arrivals at the cliffs. Mercury would've gotten bored and easy to find one way or the other, it's way safer to stay off everyone's radar.

[ Mercury's loud enough he'd find her and even before she remembered things, she was still really confused about everything with Cinder, and she 100% didn't want to end up on Salem or Tyrian or Watts's radar former ally or not. ]

[ Oh! There's a name she hasn't heard in a while. Somehow, she can't help but shudder when she thinks of him. ]

What happened to that guy, anyway?

[ Emerald doesn't really like the way she says "that guy" but she knows it isn't like Mercury ever said a word to them.]

We were talking about... You know, maybe not helping end the world and Tyrian came to creep on him and fly him to Vacuo.

[ They'll get there after... Well. After Emerald, anyway. ]

That's where you were headed. If everything worked out once you stepped out of the portal, anyway.

[ Because, you know??? She doesn't know if that half of the plan worked. ]

Am. We walked right into a sandstorm filled with Grimm, though.

[ She... isn't sure if she should ask what happened on their end. ]

With how armed to the teeth it is in Vacuo, it shouldn't be a problem.

[ ... or she could be wrong. ]

Yeah.. I don't even know what direction the city is. We couldn't see anything.

[ Emerald's pessimism pauses though as she remembers, haha, Weiss probably doesn't need to hear that Penny and Team RWBY and Jaune's sacrifice might have just walked them all to their doom. So she doesn't point out that the reason it's armed to the teeth in Vacuo is because everyone looks out for themselves. ]

I'm.. sure we'll figure out something. Everyone's really exhausted from the evacuation, and fighting Grimm and the military, and it's mostly civilians whose knowledge about weaponry is what order the cutlery goes in at the dining table with us... don't worry. [ Look, she's still learning. How do optimism. ]

Ugh, everything really is falling apart. But with some of us here, then we can find a solution from the outside.

It's not really falling apart if it was crap the whole time and we just didn't know it yet.

[ Salem and Ozpin have been at it for a long time and apparently loads of other people have been getting shit on for hundreds of years over it. Judging by Emerald's tone, this is her attempt at optimism. ]

In terms of kingdom saving, it's 1.5 to 1, so technically you guys-- we're winning. [ It's still taking some used to to include herself in that. ] If Tyrian and Mercury didn't somehow get ahead of us, anyway.

I hate to break it to you, but things didn't go exactly as planned inside the world Ambrosius let us pass through.

[ Weiss has no idea how to break it to Emerald, either. Especially since Cinder is part of the whole thing. While she doesn't know what Emerald went through with Cinder, she figures to tread lightly when it comes to the Fall Maiden. Emerald may have admitted to being part of the good guys now, but Weiss still has to be careful! ]

I... figured.

[ She's obviously trying not to say it. She sure as hell didn't tell Pyrrha that she was dead, she's not going to be the one to break it to... Okay, maybe she... might need to. There's really no way to talk about this without saying it. ]

What happened? There were way too many people who didn't come through.

[ Just putting that out there first. Emerald can guess who they are when Weiss takes a moment to collect herself. ]

Cinder and Neopolitan.

[ There are only so many people it could've been, honestly. Salem was temporarily down, Hazel was dead, Tyrian and Mercury were flying, Watts was captured (to Emerald's last knowledge), Ironwood was subdued, and Emerald was no longer an enemy. Cinder and Neo really were the only answers left. So Emerald's stomach drops in guilt before Weiss even says it. ]

Sorry. I didn't know where they went, I only knew she wanted to go after Ruby.

[ Which.. they all already knew, so it didn't feel really necessary to share it. ] 

--Neo was with her?

[ She didn't even ask Emerald, when Emerald had kept telling her she was there, kept offering herself, even when Neo refused to help, Emerald was there and Cinder still didn't even think to ask her before everything went down, but she got Neo to help. Every second since she's gotten back feels like it's just driven home Mercury's point that she doesn't care about Emerald. ]

It doesn't matter. Did they.. did you take them down with you or did you guys get back to Atlas?

[ Does she really want to know the answer to that question? The fact that she's got hope that they went back through a door to Atlas is probably team rwby rubbing off on her already instead of just assuming they're dead, though. ]

[schmisse]

I don't know.

[ It pains Weiss to admit as much, but. . . it's the truth. There's no way to sugarcoat what happened and what she knows and what she doesn't. The very last thing she remembers prior to finding herself back in this place was that she was holding Blake's weapon, trying to shoot Cinder. Her teammates had fallen, and help? Help likely was not going to come. ]

What I'm going to tell you next — you have to promise you won't ever tell anyone. Not Ruby, Yang, or Blake.

[ Weiss doesn't want to keep anything from her teammates either! But if she doesn't say anything for now, until she figures out how to properly say it and how to avoid it, then it's not really so bad... is it? ]

Ever? As in, you're not going to tell them either?

[ They're not exactly to-the-grave level besties, so Emerald sounds a little skeptical, but Weiss is trusting her so she should... accept that. Right? Right. Probably. ]

Sure, yeah. I can keep a secret.

[schmisse]

Not now. I can't tell them now.

[ Because she wouldn't really know how to say it, either. Her teammates have all gone through so much already. Everything happened all so quickly and just... there's no way what happened is acceptable. ]

Yang fell. Off the ledge. And so did Ruby afterwards. Blake tried to save Ruby, but... she fell, too.

[ They fell. All of them did. And as cold Weiss normally appears, it's impossible to hide how heartbroken she feels about all this. Torn, confused, helpless. But she's here. She can do something in this place to change the future. If she can cross from one world to another, then she can use what she's given to do something about Remnant. ]

[ Fair enough. Emerald shrugs her acknowledgement. She already said she can keep a secret, there's nothing else to say on the matter.

She doesn't mention Jaune, though, which means the order was probably.. ]

I guess that means you and Jaune weren't far behind them.

[ Emerald.. doesn't know what to say to that. She's not good at comforting words, or optimism. Hell, she tried optimism and talked them into continuing the fight and encouraged it and this is where they ended up. ]
