[ The photograph attached to the post depicts the front of a small shop called Polydegmon's Lapidary and Brew. It's got that 'new store' look, where everything looks pristine and nothing has been touched by grime or dust settling in the corners yet. It's not the most terribly modern-looking place (look, the rent was cheap).

He wouldn't even be advertising it here if a certain someone didn't bug him to. Honestly, he could do without the publicity... ]

I am now accepting commissions as a goldsmith and alchemist. My hours are from midday to six, weekdays only. Or whatever it is you call them. No, my prices are not negotiable.

Additionally, I will NOT accept requests for items to use in warfare of any sort. At all. If I find that you have done so then I will make sure you regret it for the remainder of your days.

Jewellery. I can also cut any raw gemstones you may have, and with my alchemy I can repurpose existing gold items into other forms.

I do require proof the item belongs to you before I offer the latter service however.

That is something I couldn't supply,
Aside from the fact that the jewelry is on me.
It is unable to be removed, by normal means.
So I have to wear it on me all the time, without being able to remove it.
I would simply wish to have them adjusted so that I can, if it were possible...
They're bracelets, and anklets, if that helps.

Seems more useful for batteries than as a weapon, especially given what you'd need to contain it to ensure it doesn't splash back.

I'll keep that in mind, if I ever run out of healing magic or imbued healing candy.

Emet-Selch-san...! I didn't think anyone would make a business centered around alchemy commissions...! Is goldsmithing something you usually do?

I've seen a few alchemy materials and supply shops but nothing like this. I've been working on making augmented gear for my classmates so I haven't thought of offering commissions for things.

Alchemy is but an extension of the art of creation. Much as I dislike assigning a price to such things, gold is how the world is run these days.

Speaking of which: the store also functions as my dwelling now so visit there if you have questions that cannot be asked over these devices. 'Twill be easier to conduct demonstrations now that I have a dedicated space for it.

If you dont mind my asking why do you prohibit your items to be used in warfare? Im not suggesting youre wrong but as a blacksmith my wares tend to find their way onto the battlefield

If you don't mind me asking - what kind of things do you expect to commission? Just potions and metalwork?
What I read about alchemy magic made it sound almost limitless.
It's thoughtful of you to put your stance on weapons up front, knowing that.

I will accept commissions for potions, metalwork, ornaments and such. With alchemy I can create unusual objects that may be difficult to make traditionally. I would rather not take away business from other artisans but I will not turn such requests away.

I am led to believe alchemy can also create weapons, but as mentioned, I will be refusing all such requests. Similarly, I will not be making poisons.

I don't know if you meant the word literally, or if you meant it in a more figurative sense. I don't plan to end up fighting any wars any time soon, but sometimes I have to defend myself and others, and I think that learning the rules is very, very important with these sorts of things.

I will allow for protective charms and the like, but I shall handle the enchantment process myself and price my wares accordingly. The cost alone should discourage anyone from buying it simply to strip the enchantment off and replace it.
