[ The photograph attached to the post depicts the front of a small shop called Polydegmon's Lapidary and Brew. It's got that 'new store' look, where everything looks pristine and nothing has been touched by grime or dust settling in the corners yet. It's not the most terribly modern-looking place (look, the rent was cheap).
He wouldn't even be advertising it here if a certain someone didn't bug him to. Honestly, he could do without the publicity... ]
I am now accepting commissions as a goldsmith and alchemist. My hours are from midday to six, weekdays only. Or whatever it is you call them. No, my prices are not negotiable.
[ Attached beneath the above terse remark is the address to the store. ]
Additionally, I will NOT accept requests for items to use in warfare of any sort. At all. If I find that you have done so then I will make sure you regret it for the remainder of your days.
(ooc: Please respect that a character will suffer some kind of IC consequence if they try and use his products as IC war propaganda or in serious IC war efforts. Doubly so if they deceive him for it.

[ He walks over to the main counter and pats a thick book that has been left on the side. It has a sign reading, "Free to peruse" beneath it. ]
This tome has the alchemical symbols I have been using with my familiar. Was it these you were interested in or my potion brewing?

[With that, she went over to investigate the book he'd indicated.]
Did you have alchemy when you first arrived here, then?

[ That being the art of potion-making, amongst other things. He moves behind the counter and takes out some vials from a drawer. These he lays upon the counter-top. ]
It appears they have taken it a step further here, however. 'Tis some strange blend of science and magic in some cases. I made these in the manner I am accustomed to but the texts I have been reading suggest alchemists are capable of much more.

[She browsed the book for a moment, before going over to investigate the potions, taking a leather-bound notebook out the folds of her robe and offering it to him.]
I've found potion brewing has been...frustratingly different to the processes I used at home- so many subtle little changes. Here's where I've been detailing my studies in the matter thus far.

[ While Caster looks at the potions, he takes her notebook and carefully flips through the pages. ]
What is potion-brewing like in your world? [ he asks after a few minutes reading. ]

[She knew from his post that he thought war aberrant- but what else did he find distasteful?
Caster's notes were thorough, detailing the rituals and magics she'd encountered in Avalon so far, along with the information about the potions she'd sampled and her - thus far - unsuccessful attempts at brewing them herself.]
Very similar to here- gather the right components, infuse them with magic, brew at the proper temperatures. But as it is, everything here works just a little differently.
...Which aspects of alchemy did you say were more familiar to that in your world?

The process of brewing these potions is almost the same. The ingredients differ, of course, and the manner of magical infusion as well. Yet where alchemists here require sigils in order to combine raw material into their finished form, alchemists of my world prepare it using chemical techniques - and a touch of aether to encourage the process. I have never heard of an alchemist requiring some esoteric symbol to make rubber.
