Greetings, beings of Avalon! It is I, the great deity: the ★☆Absolute God of Hyperdeath★☆!!

I am the God who controls time and space, capable of erasing all timelines and resetting everything back to zero! Fortunately, I, a former harbinger of death and destruction, have decided to turn over a new leaf and take a stand against any and all bad guys!!! Fuahahahah! Be thankful! I, an omnipotent being, will protect Avalon through the powers of stars and my might sword! No mortal being stands a chance against my mighty powers!

Any villains should quake in fear of my powers!!! I will erase anyone who stands against me from existence!

But... wanting to keep peace isn't really something shallow at all.

[ Honestly, he'd had a feeling it would be a kid on the other end. Kipposhi turns on video in kind, leaning back in his chair and letting out a long sigh. ]

Just wanting it is shallow. You have to think about what you're willing to do to achieve that peace. That's the burden adults like me face, yanno.

I... I know. Peace is really nice to think about, but...

Sometimes it takes a lot to make it happen.

[ Another sigh and he gives a shrug, shaking his head. ]

Look, don't let it get you down. I also get wanting to have the power to protect what you care about. In my case, I set out and did it, carving a path to the capital to stop the ages of endless petty wars between daimyo in my country; unify it all under a single banner.

... There was a war where you lived, too? It always sounds like it lasts for a really, really long time, too. But, I know that there's a lot of people out there that don't agree or want to hurt others. It's... what makes others get hurt.

( Asriel very much actually has a more jaded view of the world than he did when he was actually still just a child. )

I... I had power a long time ago to set Monsterkind free. My best friend... they died to give me that power. But... I didn't want to hurt anyone.

Not everyone's cut out for being a warlord. [ Kipposhi shrugged again. ] That and even I'll recognize that might and fury are the only sorts of power that can set one's ambitions ablaze.

So, you're a pacifist. I can respect that. But you still want to protect people. Ever considered following Buddha? [ Spoken with a small chuckle. ]

Do you think so? Sometimes, people who try to help others can be really passionate, too.

... I... I don't know if I am. At least... for a long time after I died at home, I thought that the world was a place where it was kill or be killed. I hurt a lot of people because of it, but... I don't want to do that anymore. All I want is to see people be happy. Though, I know that sometimes you can't just protect people without needing to hurt someone else in return.

But, my best friend -- Frisk... when I met them, they refused to hurt anyone, even though a lot of people tried to kill them.

[ ... Was this really just some kid? Talking like that, it didn't sound insincere, that he really did have blood of some sort on his hands, at least to an extent. Maybe he hadn't literally killed anyone, but Kipposhi could hear the guilt in those words... ]

So I guess you wanna be more like this Frisk, huh? Being pacifist to that extent... that itself is a pretty big ambition, I think.

( Asriel pauses at that before nodding. It sounds like they understand what they were tying to say a little better. )

I... I think so, too. Sometimes, trying to find a peaceful way out was really hard for them, but... they always did it with a smile.

That's the kind of hero that a lot of people should try to be more like, I think. Though... being a warlord sounds kinda cool, too.

Truth be told, I... don't think that particular way of doing things would have at all worked in my situation.

[ Hell, it ran contrary to his very nature. As an Avenger-class... Nah, he shook his head, dismissing the thought. ]

Point is, so long as you're passionate about it, and let that ambition be your flame, then you've got my support, at least.

Were you really a Demon King at home?

That's a title I earned, if that's what you mean. I'm not, like... the literal Buddhist concept of the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven. It's more like a metaphor, yanno?

Because I'm awesome.

Oh...! I think I kind of get it... It is really cool sounding, heheh.

Then, you must be really, really strong.

You could say that. [ His smirk grew broader. ]

More importantly, people believe I am strong.

Uhm... Mom told me once that if you keep telling yourself something, it can become true. It's... sorta like that, huh?

In my case, it was more the world at large is telling it, and it becomes true manifest through the collective impressions of others.

Act like the Demon King, and eventually people will start treating you like the Demon King.

It'd be nice if I could do something like that at home.

( He'd like to be someone who helps others -- rather than someone who's only really hurt the people around him. But, he doesn't really have plans to talk to anyone anymore, either. )

What the hell kind of talk is that? "If" you could, hah! You can. Say you will. Actualize your own ambitions, kid!

... I can't really at home, but... uhm... I know I can do that here.

Home, abroad, so long as you're not giving up. If you gave up, I'd lose all respect for you, kid.
