( This time, Asriel's decided to try to go anonymously on the network -- or not so anonymously. This was very much inspired by a recent conversation he had with one of the heroes here. )

Greetings, beings of Avalon! It is I, the great deity: the ★☆Absolute God of Hyperdeath★☆!!

I am the God who controls time and space, capable of erasing all timelines and resetting everything back to zero! Fortunately, I, a former harbinger of death and destruction, have decided to turn over a new leaf and take a stand against any and all bad guys!!! Fuahahahah! Be thankful! I, an omnipotent being, will protect Avalon through the powers of stars and my might sword! No mortal being stands a chance against my mighty powers!

Any villains should quake in fear of my powers!!! I will erase anyone who stands against me from existence!

[Oh gosh, this is just the bright ray of sunshine Ochako's day needed. Slowly, very slowly, she's been finding her smile over the past few weeks where it's been lost somewhere in the dark...and she has all the friends and people she's met to thank for that. Even if the laugh she just uttered to herself is small, it's real.]

( Oh, Ochako! It feels a little silly now that she's seen it, but it's really fun to play with others, too. He only used to really play with Chara. )

I've heard about what an amazing hero you are, Uravity! You don't have to fight hard to make others smile when you already make your friends happy!

It'd be really nice if we could work as a team.

[Hey, Ochako is not above playing pretend with a little kid. She used to do the same when she was really little - playing pretend heroes in the playground or at kindergarten with other children her age. That sort of whimsy doesn't die just because you grow up, or because you're training to be a real hero.]

Thpugh such flattery!! I'm only doing my best day in and day out, and I've had my fair share of ups and downs lately, too.

( They didn't know that something was troubling her... He can't help but wonder if it's something he can help with. Ochako's becoming an important friend to him, after all. )

[Wait...what? That last bit sort of catches her off guard a little bit, and it takes Ochako a moment to answer. How does Asriel know she's not been feeling, uh...herself? I mean, it's really not difficult, Ochako wears her heart on her sleeve in most cases, but she's also got a decent poker face when she actually tries. She's perfected being overly chipper and cheerful to throw people off a bit. It doesn't always work, but most of the time...]

( No more pretending for right now -- Asriel means this seriously. He's always cared so much for his friends. Despite everything that's happened, it hasn't changed -- no, perhaps his time as Flowey just made it even more overwhelming. He had thought about what he could have changed to be there more for his friends to change things, despite knowing that it was pointless to want to change things for the dead. Despite... knowing that his concern was very likely superficial back then.

But now that he has another chance, he just... wants to try again to be there for those who are important to him. )

[Oh...heck. She sure did let that slip there a little bit, didn't she? Ochako hesitates, because she really, really should not be dumping all her problems onto the shoulders of a small child - that's just plain irresponsible. Asriel doesn't need to stress about any of what she's going through, it's nothing he should ever worry about. She'll get through it, it's fine.]

Ohi!! Well, it's just an expression mostly.

But I'm sure you know that being a Hero is fraught with danger, of course. It's a heavy burden we bear sometimes, and

It's just a lesson we have to learn, but we can always pick our heads back up, right?

so, i know that it can't be easy.

but i know you're doing your best for everyone. ... and i know that you'll be the kind of hero that everyone can count on.

( He... doesn't know if he believes her. Something tells him that there's something more there, but he also know not to push more than he already has. He just... hopes that she remembers that she isn't alone. )

[Gosh, but he's so sweet. Ochako's heart hurts a little as she reads over the words on her phone, and her smile is bittersweet. He's right - Heroes will always put the lives of others before their own, and race headlong into peril for the sake of anyone. Their main goal is to preserve peoples' safety and wellbeing, and make sure those that threaten that are caught and punished.]

Thank you so much, Hyper. That's exactly the sort of Hero I want to be like.

[Listen, it's a cuter nickname for that longwinded name...]

And you're right, of course!
My friends here are really wonderful. So long as we're all together, I'm sure we can face any obstacle!! And with a powerful ally like yourself, our rate of success if bound to increase!

( His heart swells at her words. There's something that feels... genuinely good about being able to cheer people up. He's torn people down for so long that being able to help others makes him feel like he's being saved a bit all over again. He wants nothing more than to see the people so important to him to be happy, and safe. At the least, he can't help but feel like he did that for her. )

You already are! There's no need to hold such a heavy burden for yourself!

That's right!! As long as I remain in this world, I will do everything in my power to help!

If you need anything at all, just call for me! I'll be there in an instant!

[He is. Little by little, day by day, the people around Ochako are helping to pull her out of the dark hole she's fallen into. It'll take a while yet, for her to climb back out again, but with the help of everyone's outstretched hands, it'll get a whole lot easier in time.]

I mean, I'm only in my first year at Hero Academy!

( What she's saying is... encouraging, to say the least. He was alone for so long -- though, it was ultimately by his own choice. Still, being surrounded by so many people that care about him and that he can care for? It's more than he ever could have dreamed of.

There's something freeing in itself when you can love the people you care about again. )
