Saving multiple worlds -- no, multiple universes, do you think that is enough to erase the sins that a person has committed?
Or is this merely what is right for those that are sinners?
Perhaps, redemption is beyond us and we can only do a little bit of good before judgement.

I do not believe myself to be completely to blame for what occurred. Some of the sins are laid at the feet of another, and I do not accept his sins upon my own. [ Wow, how vague. Truly useful. ]
I let people believe that our god protected them absolutely and that they would be given divine protection from all harm. It was a lie, of course, because our god could only do so much. There was danger, but whenever anyone was killed ... the matter was covered up and treated as a fluke so the people could keep believing in a lie.
More and more people were culled. I did start to wonder if a pure and peaceful world could be created by these means, but believed that no perfect world could be made without sacrifices. Those people, then, could become martyrs in this life and be given great gifts in the next for helping secure a better future.
But the killings only increased. His Holiness became drunk on power and attempted to use two of my most cherished people to act as sacrifices for his new world. It was only then that I stood up to stop him, but it ended in failure... on my part, at least.
And afterward, the people who had been faithful and honest saw the lies that we had told them. They lost their faith ... and no longer believed in such a peaceful world was possible for themselves. I helped to tarnish their souls in this way, and helped them to lose their faith in our god.
And those that I cared for... while saved... are left to clean up the messes that I made. This is by and large what I have done, but know that the depths that I sunk are somehow even lower than these listed sins.
