It is my honest hope that your brother received something to know that his actions were not wrong, even if they were foolish.

[ The ritual does demand a heavy price in exchange for what it does for the world, and perhaps it is appropriate for this to be her family's burden. If the empire of old did this to the world, then it seems just for them to continue to offer sacrifices for the desertification to stay at bay. And yet, it was the fault of their ancestors, and have they not suffered enough for the world?

You're welcome, and it seems we have even more reason to ensure time begins to move forward.
I don't think I ever wish to erase what I had done. It means that I may accidentally fall into committing the same actions as the past. Still, there is no reason not to do good simply to do good.
