I'm from Earth, but I grew up in a castle city called Fortuna. I rarely ever left it save to kill demons and acquire devil arms. I'm afraid I did not interact much with the outside world, either.
[ When you're part of a weird cult that worships a demon as a god, that just how it be sometimes. Keep to yourself, sometimes spout weird religious stuff at people, and go back home to do more weird cult things like bioengineering experiments. :\ ]

Yes, demons. Devil Arms. I suppose one could call them "magic."
It is a weapon that a demon turns into when defeated in a certain fashion. [ Getting absolutely wrecked!! Meet him behind the 7-11 to get your physical body and soul reduced to a sword! ] They remain somewhat sentient and the power that the weapon their soul and body forms is tremendous.

It sounds like my version of Earth might be an outlier though. A lot of people seem to be way more familiar with that stuff.

And yes, human experiments. Scientists designed a virus to do something, I don't fucking know what, and it predictably got loose. I think into the water supply.

Into the water supply? That's terrible. But saying it in text, even reading it, sounds pathetic to me.
The idea that people were dragged into the experiments of others and forced to suffer is unforgivable. I can't imagine what the purpose must have been, but it hardly matters.

And, in a way. The virus got loose inside the facility, and I think most of the scientists that worked on it were infected. They're dead, and the building went up when I triggered a self-destruct mechanism inside.
The actual person most responsible for the virus had turned into some sort of mutant freakshow that was maybe ten feet tall and made of like...claws and spikes. I killed him myself, as insane as that might sound.
But, Umbrella, the company responsible, has offices all over the world.

But I ask you to ignore that part in order to ask -- are you going to continue to fight those other offices? Are you all right with saving other universes if it means also saving those people?

I am going to make sure that the authorities, with the ability to bring them to justice, are made aware. In my world, me going after those offices would be vigilante justice, and illegal. If they aren't brought to justice, then I'll reconsider my options. But I'd rather attempt to do things the right way. I'm not a superhero.
And yes. Because there are more good than bad people.

I see. I was worried for a moment that the actions of Umbrella may have blinded you a little. Such concern from me may come as unwanted and unjust given what I have already said, but still, you sound like a just person and I did not want you to stumble on your path for justice.

I just can't justify condemning the many to deal with the few who should be brought to justice. And I know better than to take on a multi-trillion dollar corporation by myself.

We wished to become as angels, and so engaged in human experimentations. Men that pledged themselves to me were altered. But their minds did not remain their own, and I unfortunately was usually the one forced to kill them to save them from themselves and others from them.
However, this method was not foolproof, and some escaped immediate culling. Those that were harmed by these monstrosities were dealt with so no one would know of our actions.
