Okay, there. My name is Zelgadis, and I'm interested in hearing more about alchemy. Specifically, I want to learn more about how it pertains to the creation of chimeras. Nothing I've been able to read so far has been of very much help, and I'm unable to preform alchemy myself, so I was hoping that reaching out like this might yield better results. So... hm. I didn't think this through very well... That's about all I have, I think. If you're able to use alchemy, or know someone who can, please get in touch with me.

Tanning a hide using alchemy is a waste of magic, in my opinion. But don't let me stop you if you wish to use it that way.

To go back to your question about chimeras: mayhap an alchemist could combine their magic with that of one who speaks to animals. That is, if you truly are serious in pursuing this.

The people in charge seem to want us to use our magic as much as possible, so maybe using it for something as frivolous as that isn't a big deal here. Not that I really care.

I suppose the best way to learn how to separate a chimera into it's original forms would be to learn how to make one in the first place. If that's what it would take though, I don't think that's a path I want to pursue.

Ah. Of course.

In my experience, a reversal of such a change is impossible. Then again, the civilisation in my world which created chimeras did so by fusing beasts together with a combination of magic and technology. If your transformation is of the wholly magical sort, or even a curse, there may be hope for you.

It's not a curse. [Though some days, it kind of feels like one. Especially now that he no longer possesses the "perks" that his chimera body had granted him. Ah well.]

My world wasn't nearly as technologically as advanced as this one, so as far as I know, my transformation was fueled solely by magic. I don't want to get my hopes up, but that's good to hear.

If you do find a solution then I would be terribly interested to hear it. I am an alchemist so I have something of a stake in that field of magic.
