-- there? I think that's it! Um. I'm Colette! For those that are newer and I haven't met yet. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that have helped me so far!
[Colette by now has had a little more practice at least. Enough that it....is actually properly showing her this time and not a ridiculous number of dogs. She focuses the camera onto her, sitting on her bed at the inn with a notebook at her lap. In it is a picture of a huge tree, and two figures.]
I have only been here a few weeks. So a lot I'm still adjusting to, but. We have such an opportunity here! To share our knowledge and everything. Stories and celebrations and all sorts, from so many different places. I guess the main one I remember from home were about the Goddess Martel and Mithos the Hero.
"Once upon a time, there existed a giant tree that was the source of mana. A war, however, caused this tree to wither away, and a hero's life was sacrificed in order to take its place. Grieving over the loss, the goddess disappeared unto the heavens. The goddess left the angels with this edict: ‘You must wake me, for if I should sleep, the world shall be destroyed.’ The angels bore the Chosen One, who headed towards the tower that reached up unto the heavens. And that marked the beginning of the regeneration of the world."
[She focuses the phone more at the notebook for a moment. Giving everyone a better view of her attempt to recreate the story she recalls so well. So vividly from her classes, from her time at the Church back home.]
I guess, that's why it's so amazing to me, here. Sylvarant was in decline. The crops dying. The people suffering. Here, I figured I can make things grow! Well, and the light? But that's something I guess I wish I'd been able to do to help, back home. I know I did what I could to help, as the Chosen, but still. For all that it's a lot to adjust to, especially with being able to eat, feel and sleep and talk again, and not having my wings, this place really is amazing. Obviously I'm still new with these new abilities. I'm still learning, practicing and figuring them and this place out. But I'm sure I'll get there! I just need to work at it more!
[And she is getting a little sidetracked from her initial intent here. Just a tad. She shakes her head, before tilting it some, a small smile at her lips even as she seems rather curious and excited after raising her hand to one of the little pot plants in the room and just barely noticeably makes the plant grow a tiny bit in demonstration if one really pays attention.]
But what about everyone else? What about the stories from your homes? How are you all adjusting here?
[A whine can be heard, and she glances to the side, murmuring something about feeding her familiar soon, as then an oversized.....white and green dog....? appears in the screen's view and licks at Colette's cheek, causing her to giggle as she reaches to stop the feed.]

It's how you leave'em, folks. And that dog held her entire attention from that point. ]
Ah! I see you are down to a singular companion, now?
[ Compared to the flood of puppies, before. ]
video; un: colette
[Earlier was just. Well, a mishap. A very adorable yet overwhelming one. Colette is at least relieved things have gone back to normal now. Or, well. As normal as things could get here at least. She looks a little sheepish even as she gives her familiar a pet on the head, stroking behind the ears.]

[ Not that she minded her chocobo, but she couldn't bring them into her room and pet them all day, either. ]

[Of course Colette is curious. She adores animals. Well, dogs in particular she was obviously biased towards but still. Colette likes meeting and hearing about other familiars too.]
no subject
[ She realized, of course, this girl might not even know what a Chocobo was... ]
Ah, because she is a large, flightless bird. Where I come from, they work as mounts.

Well, miss, I appreciate your enthusiasm. It's always fascinating to hear people talking about their worlds and I'd love to learn more about your tales.
[Notes from a harp can be then heard, the knight is holding up his instrument now and playing with its cords.]
What I could offer is the Ballad of the Goddess, my people's most important legend.
Audio : Un; colette
[But he isn't wrong. It is fascinating. Learning about where everyone is from. All their different stories and experiences. It's one thing here Colette's enjoyed that's so different to back home. Hearing about the different places everyone is from and how different yet similar it could seem to her own home.]

[He's not bringing up the fact he has been the 'Chosen Hero' himself, that's something he doesn't want to share. Link smiles, bringing his hand to the harp and starting to play a song he got very familiar with.]
Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess, unite earth and sky, and bring light to the land.
Oh youth, show the two whirling sails the way to the Light Tower...and before you a path shall open, and a heavenly song you shall hear.
[With that it's over, yet he keeps playing music in the background, it relaxes him a lot.]
This little ballad has been passed down from ancient times and it was it was something we couldn't fully comprehend. We lived locked in the sky, unaware of a whole world below us, a sea of clouds hiding the Surface from us. It was when my best friend and another young man were chosen that we ended up discovering our world was more than a floating island. The young hero did manage to unite Earth and Sky, marking the beginning of a new era for our people.

[She isn't sure what becoming this reincarnation might entail. And, well. Given the truth of Colette's Journey back home being in preparing her as a vessel for Martel....]
You lived in the sky? That's amazing! I do miss my wings and being able to fly, to reach up higher. But I'm glad you were able to explore the Surface again. I guess I sort of understand. I was pretty sheltered, before I left Iselia, my hometown.
[Very sheltered. If she did anything remotely dangerous what if they lost their precious Chosen, after all?]

Colette-san, I'm glad you're finding the time to learn and see what this world has. I'm doing the same thing, there's a lot to it, isn't there? Learning magic is a lot of work. But I'm doing my best too.
[And maybe it's a little better for her to figure out this world for a while than her own...]
If you want I could tell you a few stories about my favourite hero, All Might? He's the one that inspired me to become a hero in the first place.
video; un; colette
[There's that sheepish look and giggle there, before she seems to perk up at the mention of his mentor. Of course, being oblivious that Deku kind of starts to figure things back home are kinda suspicious for Colette.]
All Might? Ah, so he must have had powers like you and Ochako, right? What was his like? He must have been amazing if he inspired you to be a hero too!
no subject
[It's a little different than what he can do with alchemy, he guesses. Where Izuku can manipulate a plant's shape green magic is much more in-depth.]
Yeah... That's right. He has powers just like us. [Ah- good! She's met Ochako!] He was the hero that was the shining symbol of peace for a long time in my world. The strongest hero that would save everyone with a smile on his face. No matter what the trouble was or who the villain was he would always save the day. It's thanks to him that our country's crime rates are so low! The day I got to meet him, changed my life.
[Izuku speaks like a happy little nerdy fanboy! But as he continues it gets a bit more fond.]
It's because of him that I got to be a hero and go to school at U.A High School with Ochako and everyone too... He really pushed me to do my best. He's a teacher now, but I'll never forget anything he's taught me.
no subject
[Still, she leans in a little, expression softening some as she smiles and listens to him tell her about All Might.]
He sounds pretty amazing! It's a little funny to imagine Professor Sage back home running around as a hero like that......But, I know there's different um, Quirks, right? What sort does he have?
[Being oblivious that asking such a thing might be sort of a give away regarding Izuku's Quirk and all. But he seems so inspired and passionate, she can't not ask more.]

A...giant tree?
It's not called the Yggdrasil by any chance, is it?
voice; un: colette
[At least. That she recalls yet. That happens later in her and Lloyd naming the tree for Mithos.]

[He sighs sadly.]
Or...well.
Eh, nevermind!
Did you say you haven't eaten or spoken in a while?

[Trying to brush it off and downplay it like it wasn't. Kinda awful to go through to be honest. Because even if she mentions it, she is still in that habit. Of just accepting it.]

That ability suits you.
[The plant growth thing, which is actually pretty cool. Is Kratos stalling YOU BET YOUR ASS HE IS.]
Audio; un: colette
[She giggles and smiles, though it can't be seen, he can probably picture it anyway. Given how much time he spent with her back home to get to know her and her reactions, her personality. He knows her best from everyone here at least.]
I'm going to do my best! To get better with it. It might take a while to practice it though.
no subject
Of course. Let me know if there's any way I can help.
[And he means it, if there's any advice he can give or guidance he can offer, he's happy to help. He lets that linger in the air for a moment, but decides that it's probably time to get down to business. He's still not entirely sure how to approach this topic, soooo he's just going to handle this like he handles most things and play it by ear.]
Colette, about the story you told... There's something that you and I should discuss.
no subject
[Given Kratos's ability to handle fighting and healing back home and all. She wouldn't be surprised if he had different abilities given his differing personality and fighting style in comparison to hers. But perhaps they could still train together at least. To practice.
She pauses in asking that though when he says there's something to discuss.]
Hm? About Mithos the Hero? What about that story? It's one we learned from school and the Church....
