-- there? I think that's it! Um. I'm Colette! For those that are newer and I haven't met yet. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that have helped me so far!

[Colette by now has had a little more practice at least. Enough that it....is actually properly showing her this time and not a ridiculous number of dogs. She focuses the camera onto her, sitting on her bed at the inn with a notebook at her lap. In it is a picture of a huge tree, and two figures.]

I have only been here a few weeks. So a lot I'm still adjusting to, but. We have such an opportunity here! To share our knowledge and everything. Stories and celebrations and all sorts, from so many different places. I guess the main one I remember from home were about the Goddess Martel and Mithos the Hero.

"Once upon a time, there existed a giant tree that was the source of mana. A war, however, caused this tree to wither away, and a hero's life was sacrificed in order to take its place. Grieving over the loss, the goddess disappeared unto the heavens. The goddess left the angels with this edict: ‘You must wake me, for if I should sleep, the world shall be destroyed.’ The angels bore the Chosen One, who headed towards the tower that reached up unto the heavens. And that marked the beginning of the regeneration of the world."

[She focuses the phone more at the notebook for a moment. Giving everyone a better view of her attempt to recreate the story she recalls so well. So vividly from her classes, from her time at the Church back home.]

I guess, that's why it's so amazing to me, here. Sylvarant was in decline. The crops dying. The people suffering. Here, I figured I can make things grow! Well, and the light? But that's something I guess I wish I'd been able to do to help, back home. I know I did what I could to help, as the Chosen, but still. For all that it's a lot to adjust to, especially with being able to eat, feel and sleep and talk again, and not having my wings, this place really is amazing. Obviously I'm still new with these new abilities. I'm still learning, practicing and figuring them and this place out. But I'm sure I'll get there! I just need to work at it more!

[And she is getting a little sidetracked from her initial intent here. Just a tad. She shakes her head, before tilting it some, a small smile at her lips even as she seems rather curious and excited after raising her hand to one of the little pot plants in the room and just barely noticeably makes the plant grow a tiny bit in demonstration if one really pays attention.]

But what about everyone else? What about the stories from your homes? How are you all adjusting here?

[A whine can be heard, and she glances to the side, murmuring something about feeding her familiar soon, as then an oversized.....white and green dog....? appears in the screen's view and licks at Colette's cheek, causing her to giggle as she reaches to stop the feed.]

Another? But ah, I'd love to hear your Ballad!

[But he isn't wrong. It is fascinating. Learning about where everyone is from. All their different stories and experiences. It's one thing here Colette's enjoyed that's so different to back home. Hearing about the different places everyone is from and how different yet similar it could seem to her own home.]

I... The Goddesses seem fond of choosing heroes to... [There's a pause.] My best friend was chosen to be the reincarnation of the Goddess, it was... something.

[He's not bringing up the fact he has been the 'Chosen Hero' himself, that's something he doesn't want to share. Link smiles, bringing his hand to the harp and starting to play a song he got very familiar with.]

Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess, unite earth and sky, and bring light to the land.
Oh youth, show the two whirling sails the way to the Light Tower...and before you a path shall open, and a heavenly song you shall hear.

[With that it's over, yet he keeps playing music in the background, it relaxes him a lot.]

This little ballad has been passed down from ancient times and it was it was something we couldn't fully comprehend. We lived locked in the sky, unaware of a whole world below us, a sea of clouds hiding the Surface from us. It was when my best friend and another young man were chosen that we ended up discovering our world was more than a floating island. The young hero did manage to unite Earth and Sky, marking the beginning of a new era for our people.

A reincarnation? Was she okay....?

[She isn't sure what becoming this reincarnation might entail. And, well. Given the truth of Colette's Journey back home being in preparing her as a vessel for Martel....]

You lived in the sky? That's amazing! I do miss my wings and being able to fly, to reach up higher. But I'm glad you were able to explore the Surface again. I guess I sort of understand. I was pretty sheltered, before I left Iselia, my hometown.

[Very sheltered. If she did anything remotely dangerous what if they lost their precious Chosen, after all?]

I... hope so. We didn't get to spend much time together between the end of her journey and my arrival here.

[He adores Zelda, he really does, but he also doesn't know if anything changed in her. He was brought there as soon as they both agreed to move together on the surface...]

You had wings? [The marvel and sudden spike of interest are evident in his voice. Should he... ask more? What if it's a delicate topic? Yet he can only imagine the level of freedom having your own wings can offer...] I... I guess we have similar stories, to some extent.

Oh! I almost- pardon my manners, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Link. Link of Skyloft, at your service.

[Whether she ends up here or he goes back home. Either way.

Still, she gives a nod to the question. Briefly, a hand shifts to the necklace, the red gem at her neck.]

I did! My Cruxis Crystal isn't....working? It's not the same, here. So I can't summon my wings like I could back home to show you. But I was gradually completing my Journey to become an Angel back home, so. The wings were the first thing.

I also hope to see her again, she's incredibly important to me.

[Like a sister? Like more? He's not entirely sure. People seem to expect them to get married, back home, but the knight still considers her family more than anything else. Anyway, that's a discussion him and Zelda will probably need to have if and when they'll meet again.

There's a moment of relief when he realizes the other didn't lose her wings in some horrible way, they're just... not coming out, huh?]

I love flying, I can hardly imagine how wonderful it must be when you're in full control of yourself. I do have a flying companion, back home, that's like an extension of me as we soar across the sky and... I apologize for this comment, but I admit I almost envy you. I hope you'll find a way to summon them here as well, miss.

I have someone important to me too. Lloyd is...he's probably the only one back home to see me as Colette. Rather than the Chosen.

[He still is of course aware of her position and all. But he still first and foremost sees her as Colette and that's a rare thing, for her to experience. She is more grateful than she could ever say, for that.]

A companion? Ah, I didn't mean to make you jealous. Izuku said the same though, that maybe there's a way here to get my wings back. I'm not sure, given how it's tied to the Crystal though.

May you find your way back to him, miss, he does sound like a good friend.

[There's a moment of silence.]

I... you shouldn't apologize. I may miss flying but at least I'm lucky enough still to live with my partner, here. [There's a deep chirping sound on the side, Link's Loftwing is apparently agreeing with him.] I... I admit I haven't been seriously at work around here, but please let me know if you will need any help, perhaps during questing or anything like that. I have to admit I'm rather curious, now, and I'd love to see your wings with my own eyes.

He is. A very good friend.

[Well. More. In her feelings towards him. But she had never actually acted on that. Given she wasn't as sure on his towards her and the whole. Not expecting to live past sixteen thing. That as well. Colette brightens though in seeing the Loftwing.]

Ah! I'm glad you still have them here at least. But I'll let you know. About the quests and if we do figure a way to get my wings back.
