They sure weren't kidding when they said Solstices are important. I wonder how we'll have to fix this one.

I'm used to the days getting longer in the summer and shorter in the winter, but I've never seen it just...stop altogether.

That's also what I'm used to. Both in the world I was in before and the world I come from.

That isn't something I'd want to deal with. Long nights are bad enough in the winter. An endless dark...it gives me shivers just thinking about it.

[But Dimitri puts that to one side for now. There was something Jean mentioned that caught his interest.]

You mean to say that this isn't your first trip to another world?

It's not. I spend around a year in a place called Verens before coming here. Both me and Mikasa. It was very fortunate we both also ended up here with same memories of the place.

Usually they always expect us to fix things even if we didn't break them... Even if it would be nice to not need to for once.

[A soft, nervous chuckle. Jean isn't wrong and Jane has noticed such things being a commonality between here and the previous world she was taken to, and she doesn't think she likes it here any more than she did there. At least in Avalon she has more of a means to protect herself.]

I guess we didn't do the ritual we did last year. Though... that happened in Celliwig so I'm not sure how we would have done it this time. There were all sorts of trials in Diamond Falls, if I remember right.

It's frustrating. It's testing the endurance of my light magic, and I don't have proper night vision equipment for my weapons here.

I wonder if anyone could do night vision stuff with magic here. Or at least something that would work in the same principle.

It's possible to channel magic through weapons for ammunition, the possibility of using magic to replicate other equipment shouldn't be impossible.

[She's learned that generally speaking, nothing could really be discounted when it came to magic.]

I guess only way to find out if something is possible is by trying it. I'm pretty sure you could do some neat tricks with alchemy... too bad I don't have that anymore.
