Ah, yes. My favorite time of the day. The eerie dusk.
[It's probably not even dusk when he posts this, but the recent events have made it calamity dusk for a while... how joyous.]
They sure weren't kidding when they said Solstices are important. I wonder how we'll have to fix this one.
[They fix one thing and mess another. Story of their life.]

[Poor Hijikata.]
I'll start preparing myself for embarrassing, power draining pair exercises then, since you just likely jinxed it.
[He's mostly joking.
Mostly.]

[But the Diamond Falls are in ruins now, and he's not sure what became of the cave system underneath... was the place even vital for the ritual to work, or was it just the traditional location?]
So it'll be... giving up a part of you, however you want to interpret that, and some mood music.
[He sure is being optimistic! In fairness, despite the confusion in the steam-filled lava cave he did enjoy the relaxation in the cenote afterwards. Damn, the last summer solstice already feels so long ago... he's really been on Avalon twice as long as he was on Prismatica, hasn't he?]

[He's not gonna sing.]

[Usually he'd probably say that with some disdain - being dragged into a musical number isn't his idea of fun either -, but back then it felt so serene. He spent the time talking to a woman he never saw before or afterwards, but even now he still remembers the melody of her song.]
It might end up being something completely different this time around, though. I just hope we can actually fix this, otherwise things won't be looking up.

[Maybe less Lava, less singing and dancing at least.]
Who's being pessimistic now? I'm sure it'll be fine.

I'm not sure if it'll be fine, given the ups and downs we've had, but yeah, worrying won't make it better. Whatever the task is going to be, we'll do our best.
[Without his optimistic Commander around he tends to slip into a bit of a bitch-and-moan mode (while still giving it his all regardless)... he should be more mindful of that.]

[That's how it's always been here in Avalon, it feels like.]

You got that right. Let's stay tuned, then. Instructions will come sooner rather than later, I'm sure.
[After all they really can't afford to keep Avalon in this darkness for too long. Photosynthesis needs to happen, among other things!]

[They're both the type to help solve these kinds of problems.]
