Ah, yes. My favorite time of the day. The eerie dusk.
[It's probably not even dusk when he posts this, but the recent events have made it calamity dusk for a while... how joyous.]
They sure weren't kidding when they said Solstices are important. I wonder how we'll have to fix this one.
[They fix one thing and mess another. Story of their life.]

[And of course with Celliwig gone... but that didn't mean that the entire location had vanished. Surely there had to be something they could do? An uncharacteristic frown furrows Jane's brow for a moment.]
Maybe the refugees from Celliwig would know what to do?

[He thinks about it.]
I'm actually in pretty good terms with some of the Celliwig refugees, so I can see if they know something. Better than just sitting around and waiting, right?

[There's no bitterness or teasing in her words as she laughs gently and then smiles, giving an eager nod.]
Anything is better than sitting around and waiting. A little proactivity in this instance might be a good thing. I'm getting rather tired of this strange light already, it makes it hard to sleep.

Oh... I mean, you get all sorts of resources as a knight.
[Not being used to compliments is always fun.]
It's definitely getting to me, too. I think I would prefer a complete darkness over this.

And she's still warmly smiling while he replies to her. He's right, though... something about the way the Calamity is casting its glow over everything is just so eerie, and the curtains she has don't quite keep it out.]
I think I would, too... And I worry about the children, you know? It isn't as if we can hide this from them with a few sheets.

The kids might definitely get more nightmares about this. And keeping them all in doors until this is fixed doesn't seem like a good option.

[And it had worked, for a while, when the sky was still bright and they could divert the attention of the kids with activities.]
It made me feel a little better too, I think. Not having to look at it all the time.

[Mostly he's used to destruction and pain, but he's fine with ignoring it thank you.]

[But she pauses then, thoughtful.] Do you think it would still look as frightening if we didn't know what it was?
[Objectively it's not so bad, but the Aurora Borealis would be terrifying too if you knew it signalled an impeding doom.]

They do have telescopes here, don't they..? I've never thought about looking at it more closely before, but it could be terribly interesting when you put aside the issue of impending doom.

Oh, well, it's--...
[Er.]
It's something that uses lenses and curved mirrors to let you see things that are very far away as if they were closer to you.
