[The video opens up to a familiar face to some, probably unfamiliar face to most. Ochako here hasn't much used the network herself - mostly just checks it and responds to friends and things that ping her interest, mostly. But today? Today is special.

Because today is the day she need a bit of...advice? Help?? Guidance???

Something. She sure fucking needs something right now, holy shi--]

Um...h-hello, everyone. My name is Uraraka Ochako - but, eheh...pl-please call me Ochako-chan, or Uraraka-san if you want to be formal. [She clears her throat, looking off camera very, very frequently, at something just out of the camera's viewfinder.] So, I...h-have a question? I guess?

Um!! I-I know you can kind of get famous and stuff here - kind of like a celebrity I guess? Or, uh...y'know.

Status [She coughs into her fist, glancing offscreen then back.] Titles.

[There's a long, long, LONG pause, before she plucks the letter she got in her Inn room's mailbox and reads it over again, silently, one of the pages on the back of it very clearly addressed to Lady Uraraka.]

I have a house.

...Castle.

Castle-house.

And...land. So very much land. Ehehehe...hehe...hee.

[Her giggle afterwards is slightly manic, and there's a delicate sheen of sweat now on her brow, and a pleading look to the camera that very obviously is a cry of:

I AM SIXTEEN YEARS OLD, WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO???]

Ah, senpai, thank you so much!

[Ochako smiles brightly, then bows forward a little in thanks, but when she comes up again, it's with a bit of a sigh and wilted expression. Exasperated? Overwhelmed?? All of the above??? Yeah...]

Ehh...it's pretty obvious at this point, isn't it?

Perhaps a bit.

[ An understatment made for the sake of politeness, but there's a certain wry undercurrent to her words. It's clear that Ochako is overwhelmed ... but it was also completely understandable given how far removed this sort of situation was from most people's life experience. ]

For what it's worth, I think everyone who's already spoken to you has given you good advice. Hiring a staff is essential to maintaining a large estate, beginning with a capable butler or steward. If you can find someone trustworthy who seems to be a good fit, they'll more than likely be able to recommend people to fill in the other positions.

Mmh, that's pretty much what everyone else has said, yeah. I'm not sure if I know anyone specifically among my friends who'd do something like that, or really want to, but I like to think I'm a good judge of character. Besides, I'd prefer to give the job so someone who really needs it most.

[Like one of the refugees. The off-worlders really do have it somewhat made, after all. It seems a bit unfair to give to one of them, and not a local of Avalon proper. Though, of course, if anyone was really struggling, Ochako would open her heart to them easily, and gladly.]

I should probably start first with moving everything into the new place, though. Or, eh...actually looking at it. Maybe I'll go later today? After lunch?

[ Mitsuru nods. Offering the staff positions to the refugees would undoubtedly do the most good, and there's sure to be people among their number that are suited to the various roles that Ochako will need to fill. ]

Surveying the property and getting a sense of the possible demands would be a good first step. If you'd like a second set of eyes, I'd be happy to accompany you, Uraraka-chan.

[Exactly - lots of skilled and powerful mages from Celliwig, and those capable with technology and cognitive magic from Lestari. Each kingdom definitely has its invaluable skills...Ochako will have her work cut out for her finding people who are suitable hires and that won't look down on her because of her age and inexperience. That's most of what she's afraid of, and of course not being able to provide what's truly needed, too.]

Ah...i-if you really don't mind, senpai, then I'd appreciate it. I can get a good bird's eye view with my magic, no problem, but a look over the lands would help, too. Do you need a ride? I can have Aludra-san take us if she lets us both ride her otherwise we can get some, eh...horses.

[Ochako has never ridden a horse before. So that will be an adventure. Is it easier or harder than riding a dire wolf?]

[ Mitsuru can't say. She's never ridden a dire wolf. ]

It might be best to arrange for horses if you're concerned about whether or not Aludra-san is willing to carry us both. That way we can traverse the grounds at our leisure and get a sense of what you might need in terms of staff, and what the land itself might be suited to.

[ If it sounds as though she has experience with such things ... it's quite possible that she does

I think that would be best...I know Aludra-san will let me ride her most of the time, but she's not always here for one thing, and...ehh...sh-she can be a bit fickle at times, too. Some well-behaved horses will be expensive, but far better to deal with, I think, ehehe...

[Why are fae the way they are? If Ochako had a truly well-behaved familiar, she'd never have a single problem, but Aludra truly is like a shooting star - fleeting in every way. Her moods can shift at the drop of a hat, and she can appear or disappear in a blink, too.]

I've, ah...n-never ridden a horse before, though. Have you, senpai?

I have, though it admittedly wasn't a common occurence until I came here.

[ Mitsuru opens her mouth to speak, but ... she blushes a little bit. Seemingly a touch embarassed by the admission she's about to make: ]

I was somewhat infatuated with them when I was young, and my father arranged riding lessons for me.

[Ah. Ochako is starting to put two and two together that...Mitisuru is a bit like Yaomomo - the two live a more privileged and upscale life. There's the tiny and very brief bubble of envy that always rears its ugly head when Ochako remembers her far more meager upbringing and life, but it's easily shaken off remembering what kind, good, giving people the two are. Momo has never once acted like the stereotype her so-called caste puts her into.]

Uwaah...that sounds wonderful!! You'll definitely have to show me how to do it properly, ehehe. I-I doubt I could even get on one of those big things without falling on my face or something.

I'm certain you'll get the hang of it.

[ Ochako's proven herself to be quite capable. Compared to some of the challenges they've faced already, this should be easy. ]

Just be sure to allow the horse to see you as you approach, and to move with confidence. We can address the technicalities in greater detail once we've arranged for our horses.

[That is...very true. In the grand scheme of things, riding a horse should be way easier than half the things she's done in the past. With proper instruction - plus experience riding her familiar - she'll pick it up in no time.]

Right, right...okay. I'm going to get everything arranged then. Did you want to set out today or tomorrow? It's still a bit early now, but I'm afraid it'll be nightfall by the time we get back... M-Maybe tomorrow? I'd hate to keep you out that long, senpai.

You wouldn't be keeping me. Even after organizing the Adventurer's Guild, I still have far more free time than I'm used to.

[ Which is certainly not an unwelcome change, especially given certain ... developments in her personal life, but it does leave her feeling rather idle from time to time. ]

[ She stops. She was about to say "friends" but that wasn't, strictly speaking, accurate anymore was it ...? ]

My girlfriends.

[ That ... still felt strange to say. Wonderful in a way that left her just a little bit giddy, but strange. ]

[Oh boy, does Ochako understand having way too much free time. She does quests, and still has classes she attends for school as well - so she can keep up her education (she's only sixteen going on seventeen, after all) - but she still has so much free time now. even filling her days with violin practice every now and again doesn't complete some days. It's weird being so...free.

Hopefully by taking on this task of being a noble, it'll be a bit more busy work.]

Oh! [Ochako blinks, then beams as a bright smile graces her features. She's a bit slow on the uptakes that Mitsuru means more than one girlfriend, but is still very happy for her, clapping her hands together once with a smile.] Of course!! Let's set it up for in a few hours? So we can at least get settled in and maybe have some food before we go, ne? Just let me know when you're ready - you can text me or something.

[ Mitsuru empathizes. She's still getting used to it herself, truth be told ... ]

I should be free in an hour if you'd like to meet for lunch then. There's a cafe near my house that I'd recommend quite highly if you didn't have a restaurant in mind already.

[ Another message comes a second later, containing the address and a link to the menu. ]

Mm-mm, that works out perfectly!! That way we'll both have some energy for the ride there and stuff. Okay, I'll see you later then, senpai! Bye-bye!

[And with a chipper little wave to the camera, Ochako shuts off the feed and goes to prepare herself for an outing with her friend. A bit of business, sure, but she's still excited about getting to hang out with another girl again. It's been way too long.]
