[Sure they could say something about the whole big things that happened recently, or how they feel about the now too crowded Inn. Which they are annoyed by, which may just show in their expression, but that's not why they are addressing the network this day-night-whatever.]

So like, how'd you come up with a name for your familiar? I was going to name it after someone I know, but they kind of showed up here so that makes that name off-limits...

[They make a popping sound with their mouth before continuing.]

In fact a lot of names I've thought of could be like, someone who could show up here, so again like. How'd you name your familiar?

What like white or dark? Milk would just be a weird name.

( All three of those sound a bit weird... He makes a face for a moment before he smiles brightly. )

There's ruby and cacao, too!

[idk, Chara kind likes the idea of calling the goat "White", it's currently on their very short list of names.]

Ruby seems more like a girls name and my familiar is a boy.

Heehee, if Dad were here -- he'd probably say to name it Goaty, or something even sillier.

[Okay at the mere idea of Asgore helping to name Chara's goat and the name Asriel came up with that Asgore would think up? Makes them laugh.]

( It's Asriel's turn to giggle then. That's... probably why Asriel ended up with the name he has, huh... )

Heehee, well... Names can be pretty tricky. B-But, that's part of what makes them special when you finally find one that feels right.

( They'll offer one last bright smile before tuning the feed off. It's felt so strange without Chara by their side again, so while they know it might not be today, they're excited by the idea of being able to talk to them face to face again. )

[It takes a while for Chara to get to the Inn, mostly because of the abundance of refugees around the area and they're trying so very hard to not get angry.

Trying being the keyword here. Anyway, hopefully they won't have too much of an issue getting to where Asriel is, because that is where they are headed.]

( Asriel isn't expecting for Chara to show up right away, so they're back to doing what they're doing before -- which is practicing with their new violin. ... Only, they haven't had lessons yet, so when Chara nears their room, the noise they hear isn't going to be pleasant at all. )

[Oh god, and they though all the humanspeople around was bad enough. But now it sounds like someone is strangling a cat in their room.

So they approach it carefully, even knocking before entering and seeing the scene of Asriel and a violin.]

( Asriel nearly drops the violin when Chara opens the door, but he catches himself before doing so, carefully placing it down on his bed. )

C-Chara! ( Yeah, he's just going to walk over to his sibling to wrap his arms around them in a hug. ) I'm sorry...!

[Okay so, they really should have expected this. But they're taken aback just a little by the hug.

Since they had stayed away for as long as they did they, rightfully, thought Asriel would be at least a little mad. Then again, they are forgetting that monsters are made of love and good stuff on top of magic.]

What are you sorry for? Being bad at an instrument?

( They take a moment before they pull away from Chara completely. He's not really mad at all. He's just glad to see them at this point.

They giggle quietly at the tease, and despite their next words, they don't sound hurt in the least. )
