[Sure they could say something about the whole big things that happened recently, or how they feel about the now too crowded Inn. Which they are annoyed by, which may just show in their expression, but that's not why they are addressing the network this day-night-whatever.]

So like, how'd you come up with a name for your familiar? I was going to name it after someone I know, but they kind of showed up here so that makes that name off-limits...

[They make a popping sound with their mouth before continuing.]

In fact a lot of names I've thought of could be like, someone who could show up here, so again like. How'd you name your familiar?

[It is most certainly one of those situations, as Chara doesn't really care. They did some interesting stuff back home after the whole "taking Frisk's SOUL" thing, so they count that towards the doing something new thing.]

Maybe, maybe not. I'm kind of okay with things how they are.

I... I know, but... it's okay if things change.

( It's reassurance, even if Chara doesn't need it.

He pauses, his smile becoming a bit more tentative. )

... I'm really glad you're home.

[They just go "hm" at the comment about change being good.

And then they go and laugh at Asriel stating he's glad they're back.]

( He's not so sure that's true. )

... You're more special to others than you think, Chara. Your friends that are here -- I bet that they missed you.

[They stop themselves from saying "what friends" and just shake their head.]

Maybe, maybe not. I doubt anyone but you noticed I was gone, is all.

( Asriel thinks back to what he had said on the network. )

... That's not true. Other people noticed, too.

[Because Chara is pretty sure that's the only way anyone would notice.]

( He stiffens, shuffling his feet then. )

... I only told a couple of people. They were worried.

That's a couple more than I would expect to miss me. Or worry about me.

[They notice that stiffening, so just going to reach out and pat Asriel on the shoulder.]

( Asriel feels himself relax then, his smile becoming soft - warm and affectionate. )

... There are people who care about you, Chara. I-I know that it can be hard to believe that sometimes.

Yeah and? There's only one person who matters to me, so why should I care about the others?

[They're keeping that hand of theirs on Asriel's shoulder, which they give a tight little squeeze.]

... It's because -- I want you to be happy, Chara.

( Even if it's an impossible wish. )

I am happy, with you.

[Everyone else can sit and spin.]

... I'm happy with you too, Chara. You make me the happiest.

( But, there's always a chance that he won't stay here with Chara, too. )

Then there's no problem, we're both happy so that's all that matters.

[Chara is aware that things could happen to make it so neither of them can stay here, but they just don't care to dwell on it.]

... Y... Yeah.

[And now they are moving, to put their arm around Asriel's shoulder and... Trying for a headlock and noogie to lighten the mood.]

( Asriel can't help but blink a bit at what Chara's doing before he's pulled in a bit towards them. The noogie causes them to giggle, hands going up to playfully try to push Chara away. )

H-Hey! Chara!

[The playful attempt at escaping only spurs them on to noogie more.]

Say uncle and maybe I'll let you go.

[letmewin]

( And that only earns more laughter in return, Asriel playfully elbowing Chara in return. )

Heheh, I won't! Not when it's just maybe!

[corruptedsave]

[Then prepare to be noogied more!]

Then the assault shall not be stopped! [They say through a giggle of their own.]

[letmewin]

( Asriel attempts to just sort of wiggle away from Chara at this point. )

No fair, Chara!! You know we were talking about serious stuff before this!

Eh, serious stuff is boring.

[Wiggle as much as you want, Asriel, they're just going to tighten their grip.]

[letmewin]

O-Okay! Gosh -- I give up!

( They can hardly take anymore! Their stomach's beginning to hurt from all their laughter. )

It's not "uncle" but... It'll do.

[They'll let go of Asriel, but in a way so the monster won't feel too off-balanced or fall. That's not something they want to have happen after all.]
