So like, how'd you come up with a name for your familiar? I was going to name it after someone I know, but they kind of showed up here so that makes that name off-limits...

In fact a lot of names I've thought of could be like, someone who could show up here, so again like. How'd you name your familiar?

They didn't fail to notice that annoyance, but if they know one thing, it's that Chara may not give them a straight-forward answer right away if he asks.

He's hanging out in his bed, leaning against a wall that has multiple rows of twine strung up, and dozens of indistinct rectangular Polaroid photographs clipped and pinned along each string, making for a more interesting background to his video since their first video chat, quite a while ago now. Alberto's nonchalant and lighthearted as ever, even if he can tell Chara seems grumpy. Maybe because he can tell Chara seems grumpy! ]

I dunno, I just kinda knew his name was Carlo? He can't talk, but— I got a gut feeling or something. Seemed right.

[ The camera pans over in a blur to the cat sleeping at the foot of the bed, its iridescent wings splayed comfortably over the red quilt beneath it. Carlo's at his usual station, it seems. ]

[ He puts on a slightly deeper voice, a thicker inflection, just being silly, as if giving Carlo a voice. The cat raises its head when it's addressed, looks at the camera with lazy eyes, and then lies back down. Nice. ]

I wish I had gotten some kind of feeling about my familiar but I haven't, it sucks.

My dragon is named Zunyan. It means "dignity." I call him Zun for short — "honor." Dragons deserve reverence. We should respect our familiars.

I went with a name that means something to me! Something simple, something cute, something easy to remember. My familiar's name is Lyric, which I find I quite enjoy.

Although I think naming yours after someone you know is a form of flattery. You should do whatever your heart feels most appropriate.

My heart is not really a good judge of anything, really. And naming it after Asriel isn't going to go over well.
