The name's Morgan, and something on that anon post caught my eye. A question about staying here, rather than going home. If it's possible. If it's okay.
I don't know about Avalon. It's possible when all this ends, Avalon won't exist any more, because its purpose was served. But I can say this: if anyone doesn't want to go home, I will find a place for you. No one should have to go back to a world where they'll be mistreated, or miserable, or end up dying in days, or whatever your circumstance that means you're happier being here than there.
I live on a nexus world, a place where a lot of worlds and universes overlap and connect. Sort of like Avalon itself. It's not a paradise, it's far from perfect, but it's somewhere you can go if you want. I'll find a way to make that happen for damn sure. A ritual performed here, I hope, at the end of the last day. And if that doesn't work... I have some friends and family to whom nothing is a barrier that can't be overcome, and we will find a way to get you away. There or elsewhere.
It isn't fair that anyone should be drawn here to save everything, then sent back home without a second thought to what might happen. And if your response to that is, 'well, life's not fair', I'll make it fair.
Don't be afraid to relax, to hope, to enjoy yourself here. Life's too short for that. But... I'll also take any help anyone's offering to make this vow of mine come true.
[Morgan chuckles a little awkwardly, before shrugging and ending the message.]

Either way she's definitely not posting anything public when she's this emotional. Her voice is quiet, her expression restrained. ]
Do you really think you can do that? Grab someone from a specific place and time?
no subject
It's not that I 'think' I can do it.
I will do it. With the help of my friends and family, or by my own self if possible. I don't have the power to shape reality to my will through sheer force of belief to not do exactly what I say I'm gonna do.
...took me an embarrassingly long time to learn that, though. [A brief smile, his humor entirely at his own expense.]

Having hope is nice. If it's real. Not saying you're lying it's just... [ he shrugs. ] It's not just worlds, it's timelines. Do you have a lot of experience with temporal magic? Fuckin' around with timelines and shit? Are you like... prepared for the consequences? 'Cause there's, I dunno, maybe a few?
Secondly... dude. Buddy. One guy trying to shoulder this kind of responsibility never ends well or have you never watched a movie in your life? I'm not trying to shit on your idea 'cause it's a nice idea it's just—... I dunno. I'm usually the big stupid idea guy and I probably wouldn't have tried to take something like this on.

Okay, to start with, I'm a Mage-with-a-capital-M. That means I do magick-with-a-k, so you know it's the awesome better stuff. More to the point, magick is -- it isn't like here, where spells and rituals perform actions that are completely according to the rules of the world. It's literally changing reality. Overwriting the consensual belief of billions of people with my own raw willpower. So from the very start, any magick I do is honestly a ridiculously hugeass deal just from that, even if it's just counting seconds in my head perfectly. So... that probably starts out by explaining a lot.
no subject
[ if this sounds terrible to someone with actual knowledge and training... that's very valid. ]
So, say you have the means to do it. That bit about 'overwriting the consensual belief of billions of people' is a little sus but—... I'll just ask. If saving one person meant knowing that whatever timeline they were alive on was going to end badly for everyone else living there, is that okay with you? How much are you willing to chuck into the bin just to save one person you feel got dealt a bad hand?
Or I dunno I had a talk with my uncle once and he seems to think I'm not old and jaded enough to have gotten to the point where it makes sense yet.

I don't know the answer to that. It depends on the means. Avalon might not even disappear at the end of this and everything I said was a little pointless, for all we know... And it might end up being a big magic ritual here that helps us out. I can't make any promises because I just don't know.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

I feel like I can't wait to be home, but I've met many in the worlds I've been to that consider worlds like Avalon allows them rest.
You're welcome. Whatever it is I can do, let me know.

Are you serious? Because I'd love to stay in Avalon, but if the place vanishes...
I'd go anywhere rather than back to my homeworld. I don't want to go into details... But my homeworld is a living nightmare. A hell where no happiness can ever exist. It's actually something that terrifies me. Being taken away from here with no warning someday.
[ A pause. ]
Besides... I'm actually dead back home. And I'd honestly rather take my own life than be forced to live there again.
no subject
[And people who do will go sabotaging it, won't they? Not everyone is willing to sacrifice themselves for the claim that it fixes everything on a massive scale, when they have no proof. Nor should they be.]

[ She didn't know whether he truly had the means to do what he claimed, but she sincerely sounded grateful. It was something to cling onto. She really didn't want to elaborate right now, but ending up back in her tiny digital prison was the worst fate she could think of. ]
And um... If I was to disappear before the end, sent back to my frozen world the same way some people do sometimes... Do you think there'd still be a way to save me? [She laughed awkwardly.] Ahaha! I may be too greedy.

Like, I died back home, so if this place goes then I'm kinda fucked, you know? I mean unless I get swept off into another weird multiverse world or whatever like some people here have.

...I still don't know what will happen, at the end of all of this. Or what I should do if we ever find ourselves able to leave this place.

[ She's not giving him attitude, but she just wants to know if he's seen something that made him believe it would. She just kind of assumed it would be here later. ]
no subject
[He shrugs.]
If it doesn't and everyone can stay here without consequence, awesome. I just want to be prepared for it that isn't possible. And I don't want people to lose hope, or dread the day it ends, thinking they might have to put their neck back in the noose again.
no subject
[ She doesn't know. This place is such a nice world though. She doesn't know how she's going to feel later since things have changed a lot for her, but there's still nothing for her to really go back for.
But she's just finally started to take an interest in things instead of grumping around refusing to do anything, at least. ]
Yeah, I guess sometimes dead people show up too. There was this girl named Pyrrha here before who my.. former leader killed. She's already gone, but if she can show up, I bet there are others.

I don't know if I would take that offer or not. I guess I didn't expect that to be an option. If we didn't want to go back home. I know what's waiting for me back home. I've resigned myself to that.
