The name's Morgan, and something on that anon post caught my eye. A question about staying here, rather than going home. If it's possible. If it's okay.

I don't know about Avalon. It's possible when all this ends, Avalon won't exist any more, because its purpose was served. But I can say this: if anyone doesn't want to go home, I will find a place for you. No one should have to go back to a world where they'll be mistreated, or miserable, or end up dying in days, or whatever your circumstance that means you're happier being here than there.

I live on a nexus world, a place where a lot of worlds and universes overlap and connect. Sort of like Avalon itself. It's not a paradise, it's far from perfect, but it's somewhere you can go if you want. I'll find a way to make that happen for damn sure. A ritual performed here, I hope, at the end of the last day. And if that doesn't work... I have some friends and family to whom nothing is a barrier that can't be overcome, and we will find a way to get you away. There or elsewhere.

It isn't fair that anyone should be drawn here to save everything, then sent back home without a second thought to what might happen. And if your response to that is, 'well, life's not fair', I'll make it fair.

Don't be afraid to relax, to hope, to enjoy yourself here. Life's too short for that. But... I'll also take any help anyone's offering to make this vow of mine come true.

[Morgan chuckles a little awkwardly, before shrugging and ending the message.]

Ahaha! Yeah, I think I see what you mean... I'll do that then.

[ It was a fairly frequent trope so that made sense enough. ]

I should give you a very basic explanation though cuz if it happens, you may have a hard time finding me even that way. [A pause.] Like even if you pinpoint my reality, you may not find me anywhere... That's because I exist inside of a small virtual reality. Kinda like a character in a book, but on a computer.

Ooh, gotcha. Are you an AI or were you digitized in?

[This explanation doesn't faze him in the slightest bit. He's come across far, far weirder in his time -- a digital consciousness is almost literally an everyday thing, considering his best friend has an intelligent car.]

[ Oh, he was familiar with AIs. That made it so much easier. The "book" analogy was good but it was weird having to keep using it again and again. ]

An AI, but I was "human" in my simulated reality. Until my "epiphany" when I became self-aware, I had no clue. [No HAL-9000 or Skynet capabilities for her.] A video game character, to be specific. I know it doesn't sound scary but trust me, it's worse than anything you could imagine.

[Awakening is a little like that. Maybe the reverse -- realizing that reality isn't "real", that it can be remade in a moment, yet most people will never know or understand that...]

I'm not sure I can handle that, but I know people who can.

Gosh, it sounds like the world you come from is like, super advanced ahaha!

[ It was one thing if he was very powerful, but more people there had similar abilities? It sounded a bit too good to be true... But she'd avoid that thought for now. ]

Eh. It's complicated. The place I live now doesn't have the same sort of barriers to using magick that Earth does, so some of the impressive things can be done a lot more freely.
