[When Gundham starts the video, one thing is certain. While his outfit is similar to what he normally wears it's definitely... different. Several vines wrapped around his arms like snakes and his overall demeanor is more... determined.]
I have been here for some time now. Almost a year by my count. During that time I've had time to think. Too much time. But, I've come to a conclusion. Everyone that is brought here seems to have some talent or aptitude that furthers this place's goal, some history that makes them a candidate for being here. My talent is not one that is generally suited to the tasks laid out before us, though my history is.
A friend once told me that the future is not a river flowing immutably in one direction, but more like the ocean. You can try to go anywhere, though it doesn't mean you'll always reach your destination. However, the friends that I've made and comrades I vowed to survive with have had that future taken from them and so, I've made a decision.
I will not cling to hope blindly, nor will I let despair dictate my life anymore. I will take hold of my own future, embrace my path, and become the villain this place needs, for the sake of those left behind.
[That last remark is said with a slightly different cadence. He's choosing his words very carefully as if to get the attention of someone.]
And Mukuro, we need to talk.
[With that, he ends the feed.]

Video -> Private 2/2
...What do you want?
[Private]
no subject
[That wasn't what she expected to hear- and at this point, she was still on high alert.]
Do you really expect me to believe you publicly called me out to teach you how to handle a weapon?
...Blades, firearms, or something else?
no subject
[He stops to consider for a bit.]
...As reluctant as I am to chose one, I feel a blade would be the best option for me.
no subject
[A small shrug. If nothing else, she was greatful he wasn't choosing to expose her out of hand.]
Reluctant? Why?
no subject
[Gundham really didn't like blackmail and it shows. For all his bravado, he's not a very good actor.]
Unlike you or Pekoyama, my talent did not lend to combat. As such, even when I was not myself, I rarely if ever engaged enemies directly. However, in this place that is not exactly an option I can fall back on, even should I want to. I do not relish such situations, but I see little choice.
no subject
Finally, she settled with a steely warning glare.]
...Hamsters don't naturally lend themselves to combat, either. I assume they're here.
no subject
Oh I assure you I need not trouble the Four Devas to deal with you should you attempt a betrayal. That, however, is beside the point.
[He takes a deep breath, wishing with every fiber of his being Mukuro would at least take the wig off.]
I intend to compensate you for your time, but if you are not interested, we need not prolong this, though I doubt there is anyone more qualified for the task at hand.
no subject
And, thinking on it, it was better if they had a tentative alliance than having him as an enemy, wasn't it?]
Okay. Okay, if-...if you think my skills can be useful, then sure. I'll bring knives to start with.
[Her talent was one of the few things she was proud of, after all.
Come to think of it, now that he mentioned compensation, another thought occurred. After all, something had been bouncing around in the back of her mind since spring, and however much she didn't want to admit it, who better to ask than someone like Gundham?]
...You don't need to pay me or anything, but, um...I might need your assistance procuring some supplies. If that works for you.
no subject
[Now that the bargain has been struck, Gundham relaxes a bit, only belatedly realizing what he's agreed to. Knowing what he does about Mukuro, his mind goes to one of two things; military paraphernalia, or makeup.]
...What sort of supplies do you require?
no subject
[A pause, as she tried to work out how to lead into this naturally- and only ended up making herself look a little embarrassed in the process.]
...Don't laugh, okay?
I- um- I was thinking of getting a pet to keep me company.
[And then she braced herself for whatever response he might have for that remark- fully expecting him to call her stupid or some other insult.]
no subject
What kind of place are you looking at? A cat is a good option for apartments, but that does come with the additional maintenance of a litter box, though dogs are rarely a good fit for an apartment unless you're on the ground floor and can let them run some. Birds are another option that are a good fit regardless of living space. Low maintenance, and their vocalizations can break the silence quite easily. Of course there are also hamsters to consider. Hardy, adaptable, and relatively cheap to care for.
[If it weren't for his outfit, it would be easy to mistake him for a pet shop owner.]
no subject
Somewhere not too large...so probably something small. I hadn't considered birds until you mentioned it, that's an interesting thought. Hamsters are cute though, yeah.
...I liked all those rabbit cafes that were around back in spring, but guinea pigs and ferrets also look like they could be good company.
[She'd read a few basic animal care guides, but beyond that, Mukuro wasn't particularly experienced. Something small- but not too small- and soft she could talk to and cuddle with would work for her.]
