[Alice shifts the device backwards after she turns it on and smiles at it. She's in the Inn for the observant. Her big silver tabby with his sharp claws and even sharper fangs is asleep on her bed. Or, well, he LOOKS asleep but an ear is turned towards Alice.]

Oh ah, I beg your pardon, please. My name is Alice Liddell, how do you do?

[She offers a curtsy to the device. The tabby seemed to purr, perhaps he picked Alice for her manners.]

I do apologize as I'm about to add to all the questions, I hope it's alright? Oh- but that isn't the question, you see!

What I was wondering, and hoping someone might have the answer, is- is there a school? [Whether or not she needs to attend can be asked AFTER she knows if there is one.]

Also, does anyone else have control over various elements? I've never had any powers before you see, or well, you don't as I didn't have them, but I do have them now! I was wondering if anyone is very skilled at them. I...

[She glanced at the singed napkin near the microwave of the room.]

I had a bit of an... accidental incident earlier with fire and would like to not to... that is, not have any more incidents on accident. [The silver tabby's ear flicked and his tail swished.]

(The mention of school soon alerts Harry to the fact that, somehow, the people in Avalon probably forgot about sending kids from other worlds to school and it is weird not to bring kids to school immediately.)

I am not sure if I have checked that out, Alice, but it is possible to find and get enrolled in one. It just will take some time to find one. Come to think of it, I think the people in the Avalon welcoming committee probably forget about school arrangements for newly arrived people from other worlds.

(And when she mentioned having an accident with fire, he gets highly concerned.)

Ah, well, not everyone thinks about school, that is true. I wonder if I shall have to pay for it.

["School for everyone" is a more... modern idea than most people realize.] I shall have to find a way to make money.

Oh, it was just a little one. I was trying to warm up a bread roll from breakfast this morning, I must have made it much too hot because the napkin caught fire. Just a little one, though, and I did manage to snuff it out before it got too big.

That is a good question about tuition fees: I haven’t thought about it either. I will keep that in mind when bringing this up to the welcoming committee soon. (Even though he is just a mere volunteer, Harry does his best to gather suggestions and ideas from other people to help the committee in making the transition easier on everyone.)

Well, it is a good thing you were able to avoid a disaster quickly. Some of the people here had a much tougher time to trying to control fire when they first come here. It takes a lot of practice and trail and error to get the hang of it in the long run.

Hello, Alice, it's really nice to meet you. My name's Katara. And I think adding to the questions is totally fine, then we'll have more answers too.

[Or at least more things to search/think/find answers to... Even if that wasn't one of the real questions and speaking of them, Katara has no idea how school works here, so she's skipping to the other one.]

I don't have control over any elements here, though I have Healing magic if accidents happen with them. But back home I've been travelling with a boy, who has skills like that and back there I also control water in all of its forms myself.

I'm not sure how similar any local magic is to what we have there, but I could at least try to help you.

I'm bummed that a good friend of mine didn't arrive with us. He knows all of the four elements back home and can control them. He would have been able to teach you! [And Sokka, but Sokka is ignoring the fact he has powers right now.] I mean, if our whole team was here, we'd have air, fire, earth and water all sorted out so they could help multiple people at once.

I mean, my sister is here so she could probably help you with water. I can definitely introduce you guys.

Baked bread is a lovely smell, burnt bread is quite the opposite.

I think there is school, but I didn't look too much into it. I know that there are teachers, I guess, you can ask about your magic and to have them help you learn how to use your magic.

I never had magic before either. Well, not active. I could warm up stuff before, but now I can instead make shields and images. I'm not that good at studying but practicing helped me out a lot.

I warmed it up far too much and the whole bread roll caught alight. I smothered it with the napkin I wrapped it in but singed the napkin.

The bread is completely burnt and black.

You know, while I don't know that there's a school, since I haven't looked - I'd bet there is. It seems kind of necessary or needed. But even if there isn't, there are people around who seem willing and able to help teach in less formal ways.

I can't help much in the way of elements, since that's not what I do, and I'm pretty new to it myself.

Oh, no, I burnt myself a tiny bit when I snuffed out the fire, but the napkin and bread are far worse off than I am.

My familiar did help, sir, Basil is very clever. He's the one who suggested I try warming up the bread since it was something little to practice on with my abilities and wouldn't need anything big or grand.

It is more practice... just... I'm afraid I'm not very good at it.

But... what do you mean you cursed yourself? Are you alright, sir?
