[Rose is in her room with several books. Looks like someone has been studying up on their magic. Though, in her case, the books that she had focused on Dark magic. From the way she was frowning at the one book currently in her hand, it was clear that she came across something that she didn't like.]

I know that the magic here works differently from the magic of my home world. Here anyone can use it while back in my world, for humans to use magic, they needed some kind of enchanted object to do so. I, myself, used such an object to cast Dark magic spells.

[She sighed and closed the book]

There are somethings about the Dark magic here that is similar to what I was able to do back in my world. Manipulate shadows and cause pain without physical injury are similar to what I already know. Curses and Hexes are something new to me though. But this...

[She holds up the book that was on a certain section of Dark magic. The section on Love enchantments. And boy, does Rose ever look annoyed about it.]

Who thought that this kind of nonsense should be a part of Dark magic? If I didn't need to know at least the basics of these kinds of spells in order to master Dark magic here, I would not even bother with it!

The chaos you can cause with a love curse puts other hexes to shame, in my opinion.

[Rose's reaction to that left Hawk laughing his ass off. It was funny alone, but even more so when Hawk could imagine someone who would likely end up with dark magic if he ever showed up here having a similar reaction. When he responds his tone still sounds highly amused.]

Calling it love is stupid. It's clear it's inspiring lust. You don't think it's very dark, just think back to the trials and the one with the creature that screwed with our desires.

[Rose is quiet for a second. She really didn't want to think about that again. In fact, she would rather forget that trial all together, even though she passed.]

Perhaps, but that still does not give me any practical use for it unless I want to trick someone. Which I do not care for such childishness.

Self-defense. Use it on some pissed off creature that wants to kill you or wreck shit. Easier than it sounds because it's called "bloodlust" for a good reason.

Is it maybe a touchy subject for you? Or is it that you're underestimating how useful it could be?

I am a warrior. The other things about dark magic I can make use of in combat.

No it is not a "typo." It is something that is definitely classified under dark magic in this realm.

I have resolutely been ignoring that aspect of my Dark Magic and I have no intention to change that- It's ridiculous. I'm glad someone else can agree with me on that.

[Well, that's one way to get the dark-cloaked Sorceress out from hiding- give her a chance to vent about love enchantments.

But I can understand ignoring that aspect. Personally, I am just going to learn the mechanics and never use them.

I don't think whether or not we want to learn it has anything to do with what kind of magic it is, hehe... but, seriously! Isn't that exactly where it should be? There's nothing scarier than finding out someone's love for you isn't real! If they don't love you without magic, is it really you that they love? It's super dark to think about!

I would not exactly say that would be scary. Annoying and enraging yes, but not scary.

Honestly, I would rather deal with finding out that someone does not truly due to them being enchanted, than to lose someone whom you loved and they loved you in return. It would be easier to get over that.

I would never have considered those particular enchantments to be 'Dark magic' where I come from, either, but I'm not unfamiliar with such things.

[Which is, perhaps, why she'd wound up with Dark magic upon her arrival here.]

There's something to be said for being able to sway your foe and capture their attention, if used responsibly.

I would not have put something like that with Dark magic. It would seem counter-balance to such things.

Apparently some seem to disagree with you and say that it makes for a good curse. Personally, I just think it is rather annoying.
