Yes, we do. We have both cut and planted. And if you like, I can show you how to properly crush them for their oil or how to use it for tea.

Oh, it's really very simple actually to make. You just need dried flower buds to make the tea, hot water, and a way to let the flowers steep. You can dry the flowers in any oven.

If you are comfortable with free-floating flower petals, you need only to put the dried flowers in the teacup itself.

That's it. [She assured her.] The only reason most people don't make their own is that they don't have access to clean lavender. There are many ways to dry it, the fastest will be an oven.

The trick will be to keep the oven door open while it is drying. But really, you can also air dry them if you have the time for it.

The oven needs to be at 37 degrees Celsius and you check on it every ten to fifteen minutes. Lavender is dry completely when it is brittle.

Oh, you mean the actual flowers? Lavender needs full sun and well-drained soil. You do not need to water frequently, in fact, you don't need to water until the soil is almost dry, but you will need to water deeply.
