[When the feed comes on it's clearly accidental. There is a close up of a pair of eyes, and a tattooed blue arrow on his forehead.]

Ok, so, screen towards me. Check.

[They glanced sideways and there was the sound of paper rustling.]

So the apple...no, app is open, ok. That's what they said. Wait, is it on?

[He steps back suddenly, revealing a sixteen-year-old in orange and yellow robes. He's smiling, and waves.]

Oh, hello. My name is Aang, and I've just -

[It's then that it turns out the camera was not t all securely placed, as it tumbles off of it's place, with there only time for a 'uh-oh' to be heard before the video feed cuts out. Technology isn't his forte, really. And he's a bit...discombobulated, really.]


But, in person...

But he's actually very easy to find, given his garb, and the staff at his side. The miniature skybison flying around him in a slow circle hardly hurts. The pixie sitting on his shoulder might be a little more familiar to the local population, though.

He's had some encounters, of course - and as he wanders he city, taking in the sights...he is bound to have many more.

But for a little while - just a little while - he isn't the Avatar. He's just a (relatively) normal teenager, who draws very little attention. For the moment, at least, he can just be Aang for the first time in his life.

[ A pretty young girl smiles nervously at the camera, pastel pink braids pinned up beneath a Chinese-style skullcap with little pink flower buttons embroidered along its brim, a perfect match for the jade green silk garment she wears, the fabric contrasted with a deeper forest green, gold trim, and white sleeves to draw attention to the fact that the subtle bamboo-print embroidered on the jade-colored panels it seems to be moving, as if rustling in the wind, with subtle golden threads woven throughout it shimmering just enough to draw the eye. It's an incredible and subtle effect, one that's elegant as much as it is cute, with the quirky flower buttons to offset it. [Toph has figured out her phone (after someone realized that maybe the blind girl would need help finding the 'accessibility' settings), but she doesn't want to deal with walking anyone else through using it. So hearing that voice on the phone meant she was going to go out listening for a familiar voice in person.]

[She stopped, getting a sense of her surroundings from the echos to guess that there probably wasn't anything that would stop Aang from seeing her, and yelled.]

[She had a way of doing that, didn't she? A grin slowly spread across his face. They'd had their differences, but...there was always, always something reassuring about Toph.]

[He turned around, heading towards her at high speed.]

[Normally Katara goes to the bay to greet the new arrivals, checks if anyone needs healing or anything else and tries to generally be helpful around there, while she hopes for new, friendly faces from home to show up... This month she didn't and then Zuko sent a picture of him and Aang and not that she thinks Zuko would lie about it but it just feels way too much like an amazing dream to be true before she'd really see him in person too.

Too bad it takes a while to get from there to the city of Camelot and guess healer training helps her to stay busy during that time too. But as soon as that's over for the day, she's free to go anywhere and she's heading anywhere to get something to eat maybe, maybe she should go grocery shopping or--

And Katara forgets everything about anything else, when she suddenly sees Aang in the city. She stops, eyes wide like a deer in the headlights and smiles at Appa, who may notice her first during those circles, while she's staring at him from where she's standing...]

Aang... [No, that's first one's too way quiet.] Aaaaang!!!

[Hey, who's the crying girl in that same red outfit, that she was wearing in Fire Nation? (Inventory items are nice for bringing that here.) Yeah, if there is someone, who doesn't expect Katara to rush in for a hug, they really don't know this girl at all because that's exactly what she'll be doing. One very tight hug coming in.]

[Appa, of course, immediately recognizes her and starts to do low passes around Aang to get his attention, who is otherwise occupied in the moment tossing an errant ball back to a kid who'd lost it. It's a small but deeply satisfying moment, to just participate and make a day better. No fame, no stakes.]

[He looks up at Appa, chuckling.]

Heeey, what's got you so...

[But then he hears her voice. Her voice. And then he sees her, and his heart soars, for she's as much a vision as she's ever been. But he really should have spent more time bracing for her than smiling like an idiot.]
