So people have been talking about all our choices regarding how to deal with the fae. I think no matter what we decide we do also need to consider something else. We need to consider how disorganized we are if shit happens and whatever we choose fails.

Whether we like it or not, this place is our home for now. I think no matter what we do next, we need to get more organized about protecting this place if shit happens. For all we know even choosing a peaceful option could lead to the fae invading later on if we do something to piss them off. We can all hope otherwise, but I've always felt it better to be strong enough to deal with whatever happens.

Okay, so I suck at this whole speaking on the network thing, but just wanted to know if there would be interest in forming a defense focused militia and what sort of skills and experience we have to work with. That and if there is someone better than me at leading and training people. I'm a good fighter, but I know that no one besides me could learn to fight the way I did. I'm also better suited for figuring out the best way to stab the enemy.

Something like that, yes. They might be more skilled in other styles, of course, but everyone would be on the same level in at least one thing. It would make dividing up forces easier as well.

True. I know I definitely wouldn't want people to have to change weapons but we do need to learn how to use magic better and that could be one method. For those without a good magic or it there are other things that can be learned.

What about fighting without weapons? Martial arts, for example. I'm no instructor, but I wouldn't mind teaching what I can in that field.

Haven't heard from anyone with that sort of experience yet. Even basic knowledge can help. I'd be more familiar with how to make things around me into weapons if something happened to my swords.

I use swords as well, but my techniques aren't entirely... conventional. They might be difficult to teach to others without any prior experience with the weapon, hence why I suggested martial arts instead.

Exactly why I'm not offering. I'm a dual wielder and learned by fighting. I didn't get formal training in any sort of sword until I was already good.

Oh? It isn't often I encounter another dual wielder. This may be forward of me, but if you'd permit it, I would like to try my skills against yours sometime.

I'm definitely not one to turn down a good fight. I don't meet many other dual-wielders either and not until coming here. [Only one he's met is Yuber.]
