Tell me what methods produce luck in your worlds.
I need means alternative to horoscope-based lucky items.
Time is frozen outside of this place, so the stars aren't moving for predictions.

There's no way to produce luck for that other than training.
Re: text: un: jean
However, compensating for bad luck is part of doing everything you can to succeed.
"Man proposes, god disposes."
If you are not putting in the effort to eliminate external threats such as fate, then even putting in more practice and training than anyone else can be undone by external factors.

Why are you so obsessed over luck anyway?

Anyway, omamoris and omikujis- every person knew/knows about them. Also, in my school, I heard art club and soccer club arguing over senbazuru, so that too.

I do not believe that the fate of the universe will hinge on it, but I think I would be remiss if I did not do everything within my power to ensure my personal success.
Senbazuru is to obtain a wish from the gods. I could wish for luck, if I did so.

just luck?
Why not wish to never be unlucky? Then you won't need these lucky items you're looking for

I have strength and speed. I put in as much effort as humanly possible.
There are parts of life that a single person has no control over, and for that, improving luck is necessary.

You're in a world functioning on magic and you call luck superstitious instead of something to be meaningfully accounted for in regards to success beyond internal circumstances.

I've never had much luck, or at least, not the good kind, so it's of no use to me. On the slightest chance I happen to have good luck, then I won't complain, but I don't go looking to make more. I'll agree that there are such things as circumstances beyond your control that affect your life.
[Like her being born with horns.]
We may be in a magical world now, but I still don't believe that good luck, be it a little or a lot, is going to make all your problems vanish into thin air. When one problem is solved, another springs up. Maybe not right away, but eventually it will.

Sorry, not useful. I know. Honestly, I've always just done my best to compensate for not having any.
no subject
What methods do you use to compensate for it?
[ That's what Midorima hopes to compensate for, honestly. He's got a weird.. penchant for really, really bad luck if his daily luck is low and he doesn't have a lucky item. It's entirely possible it's a coincidence or his belief causing him anxiety and therefore causing him bad luck, but when his horoscope has good luck, he really does have extreme luck.. no one else in the world seems affected by it, but he's nearly died multiple times on occasions when this has come to pass. Alternate means to compensate seem useful because of this, particularly since he thinks he's having a bad luck day today but hasn't had any warning about it save for the consecutive shows of bad luck. ]

As for divination, I know some are fond of reading tea leaves; I’ve always thought bibliomancy was rather neat.

Can you tell me more about bibliomancy?

Typical offerings for prayer were copper pieces, I think. There's a saying, "A copper to the Lady returns tenfold in gold." Or maybe it's a prayer. Not sure.

[ Because he'll do it. He just doesn't have any way to send offerings, same as the temples back home.. :( ]
