[ The video starts with a view of a large crow zooming in and out of the frame in a panic. Then BANG! There's a loud sound from off-screen that the camera spins over to the three-legged crow flat against the wall, before comically sliding down.]

Onyx, what are you doing?!

[ There's a hoarse rasp that comes from the person holding the camera. Reluctantly, he turns the camera view towards a bunch of blankets, and Crow's head pops out of the bundle. The spunky redhead isn't quite as energetic at the moment, instead, he looks a bit stressed out.]

It's an apocalyptic catastrophe!

[ Crow's words come out as a scratchy croak. His poor angelic voice! He sounds horrible! ]

I think I lost my voice! And I need to fix it before the concert! Help! It's a crimson emergency! And I think drinking milk makes it worse!

[ He can't stand to hear his voice like this, so he's going to dive back into his cocoon of blankets. He's not going to subject anyone else's ears to this dissonance either. Crow's familiar tries to comfort him by perching on top of the pile of blankets and gently tapping his beak against it. There, there. Crow stops the video but follows up with a text after:]

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY HOME REMEDIES TO CURE THIS?!!!! I'LL DRINK EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN!!! I'LL DO ANYTHING EXCEPT SELL MY SOUL TO LUCIFER!! I JUST WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONCERT, DAMN IT!!!

Well, It's my dream to be able to sing! So I can't slack off!

And I'm going to behave myself, okay?! If I even try to practice in this state, I'll really be asking for a disaster. My throat already feels like I swallowed glass.

I never really been this sick before. It sucks!

Never been this sick before? Just curious, you didn’t make anyone mad at you right?

You don’t think someone cursed you?

[Anyone mad at him? Crow has to think about that one. He takes a little too long to respond back, revealing his guilt. To be honest, he couldn't completely say no.]

Ah? Wellllll....

I did get into shouting matches with some people this week, but I don't think they're related.

[ It couldn't be karma...could it?]

[If only Crow could see the look on Ken's face.]

That sure sounds a lot like someone is mad at you. I'm worried just who did you get into a shouting match with.

[Yeah, Ken...he's a disaster!]

You really think so? I bet it was those damn trolls!

Anyway, if someone did curse me...you got any idea of how to break it?

[Crow's asking for a friend. He's the friend!]

Wait, you angered the trolls?

Why did you yell at them? Of course they're going to curse you! The only way to cure it is to get a healer or get a potion!

And I don't even know if the storekeeper has the right one.

[How did he end up getting himself into these kinds of messes??]

I yelled at them because they were rude as hell and totally swindled me!

I should've given them more than my mouth!

[Crow obviously doesn't see the error of his ways, since he feels like the trolls are in the wrong, not him!]

So you think they cursed me? I didn't know they were capable of that.

[Well they are magical creatures, Crow.]

[whatsamada]

I think so. If the fairies could curse someone, why not trolls?

[Ah, now what in the world was he going to do now?]

But anyway, if you look into the store, there might be something that could help you out. I'm sure there has to be something there to make your voice return back to normal!

[Maybe. Probably.]

[ What will he do? Crow doesn't have a clue!]

You really think they would have anything in stock? I hope so!

If anything I think I know a few people with healing magic? Maybe they could help me.

[ He's hoping, they can!]

I think they do!

But then let's see if you can go talk to those healers who can help you. I just don't want you to stay sick and miss the concert!

[Please don't tell him that Ken has to go and look for said potions.]

[Luckily for Ken he does not, Crow has other friends willing to help. And some who are helping, but making it worse!]

I'll go check it out if healing magic and home remedies don't work. Though I'm hoping those two will be enough.

That's nice of you to worry about me, but I'll be fine!

[Pray for him, Ken!]

It’s not a problem, it’s the least I can do.

Especially when you’re this passionate about singing and you’re willing to go through all that effort for the concert. That’s real dedication right there!

[Just saying!]

[Ken can't see it, but that gets a cheesy grin out of Crow. He's glad people can feel his enthusiasm, even through text!]

Well you have to be passionate about your dream! Singing just ignites this fire within me that nothing else can! So I have to give it my all, even when I don't feel my best!

Do you have a dream like that? You seem really smart, so you're bound to do great things!

[whatsamada]

[Now that was a good question! Ken just stared at the message and just wondered what to say back.]

I guess I do? To be honest, I'm not too sure what I want to do just yet. I'm still a kid so there's still a lot that I don't really know about myself.

[While a part of him still wants to grow up quickly, another part of him wants to be a kid for now. The joys of being a troubled teenager.]

You're just a kid?! You sound so mature!

[Unlike Crow who sounds like he's still five years old.]

Well you still have time to figure that out! Have fun exploring different things, and everything else will fall into place! My parents used to say, you can never get your youth back, so you have to appreciate it while you have it.

Thanks? I guess?

[Not that he minded! It was a very nice compliment and yet, here he was trying to act like a kid at the same time? How was he suppose to feel??]

But that is what I'm doing. I figured I should use this time to relax and be a kid for once. It's just a little strange when you're in a new world and trying to be a normal kid too.

Heh, I know the feeling! It's a lot for even me to take in, I can't imagine how you're adjusting. Though, if you ever want to horse around, let me know! Adults can have fun, too!

[Even though Crow isn't that old himself. He's the youngest member of his band, but he's done with his school days. It gives him an excuse to be a little immature.]

Oh yeah? What kind of things do adults do for fun? I know sometimes they go to the mall or watch movies sometimes. And I guess even drink alcohol too but that's kind of debatable.

[Why would anyone want to drink to the point where they'll throw up?]

Huh? Well, those are kind of boring! Sure, you could do that as an adult, but we also like doing kid stuff too.

It's not always fun being an adult, so we like to have fun doing things we enjoyed as a kid or do the things we couldn't as a kid. Like I still play video games when I'm not too busy with work and I like playing competitive games like volleyball, ping pong or badminton.

[What's so competitive about badminton, though? Apparently, no one has planned with Crow and his bandmates to know how extremely they play it.]

Stuff like that! You got any hobbies you enjoy?

Wait, adults still play video games too? I heard that they still do but wouldn't you be worried people would call you childish? Or have others tell you that you need to grow up?

[Or at least, that's what he had often heard about adults who do have those kind of hobbies.]

But I play video games too! And play soccer sometimes or go for a run? To be honest with you, I never really had much time for hobbies until now.

PFFFT! Yeah, they say that because they don't want you to have fun and live a miserable adult life like them! Not everyone has to live up to those expectations! Life is much better when you do what you want!

[He'd be rich with how many times his parents and teachers told him he needed to get a real career!]

You should definitely find something you enjoy doing! That's how I found out about my talent for singing because I would do it in my spare time! And now it's my career, although you don't have to turn your hobby into something lucrative!

That is a lot easier said than done. You are really confident if you can say that! It's not easy when you do care a lot about what other people think of you.

[But then again, this is the same boy who was always having the internal struggle of wanting to be a kid and yet, still be taken seriously!]

Well, I never thought about being a soccer player. I know I don't want to turn myself into an athlete and run around without a shirt.

It ain't easy, but it doesn't mean it's impossible! And you should change that mindset! You won't be able to please everyone and you'll live your whole life worrying about people's opinions! That's not a way to live! You mind as well live how you wish and have no regrets!

[ Although, that's a journey in itself. It's hard to break out of that mentality, especially within a stringent society. Ken will learn that with time and going through the motions.]

Well you don't have to take your shirt off. But yeah, just play soccer for fun, there's nothing wrong with that!

That is some rather harsh advice. I know I shouldn't have any regrets but it's just difficult? Especially when I'm kind of wondering how to live my life already.

[He already made up his mind in trying to act like a teenager for once but it is difficult to break out of that mindset when he's already so mature for his age.]

I guess it was a little harsh. My bad, I can get a little carried away.

As much as you hope to live freely, you'll always have regrets. Though, for your age, it's normal to still figure things out and make mistakes. It'll only ground you to the idea of who you want to be.

Don't think too hard about it. Live your life. Things will fall into place eventually.
