In response to a recent post pertaining to calling mayonnaise "sucky street food".

I urge you to come visit the fine establishment known as the "Trappist Café". And then reach a conclusion on the matter. That is all, long may King Mayo reign.

Exactly, mayo is one of the most versatile, and varied sauces out there! To sully its name is a crime!

[Ah, no, hang on.
anon is typing]
of course it is! but i suppose no one can blame you. its not something many think of regularly. yet it is still an incredibly important issue of grave importance. far too many tongues have suffered as a result of subpar sauce.

[it's harder to convey his amusement through the word then it would be if he were speaking it aloud]
But then also I understand well that taste is important, and that people can be quite particular when it comes to their food. I wonder if there are other sauces with similar followings...?

people like things that give their foods an added kick

[there is a slight pause, then a sheepish addition]
Forgive me. You meant hot in terms of spice, not temperature.

Oh. Well, that answers the first question but not the second.
