[She still hasn't quite gotten the hold of the video feature yet, so text it is. Oh well.]
Hello!
I know that a lot of us showed up recently and everything and I was curious what type of magic or what-not that everyone has? We didn't have magic where I'm from, there were Hamon practitioners but that's... it's a pretty specialized thing and I can say I only knew five people who were able to use it. And there were... other things, but it doesn't matter since they're gone and not coming back anyway!
Oh! Evidently mine is healing??? Or that's what my new friend seems to indicate! It's nice to have a companion immediately, isn't it? Especially if they're pretty special themselves! Or I think so.
I was wondering if anyone was interested in seeing if some place around here would let us use their kitchen for cooking practice? I'd love to learn about different cuisines here as I'm only really familiar with a type of Italian and might as well broaden my horizons here, right?
Thank you!

For the moment she listens to her, slowly nodding along before she catches that last bit. Great grandfather. Great grandfather and connected that to Joseph?
Then this.
W h a t.
She takes a deep breath to steady her nerves, keeping her upbeat tone despite how much she wants to ask every question under the sun.]
I... I suppose if this place can bring back the dead then time weirdness isn't out of the realm of possibility. I... guess that means you're my great granddaughter?
no subject
[ Oh, Suzi sounds so nice... Jolyne can't help that breath catching in her throat for a moment. ]
Y-yes! That's it! You're my great nonna! You two had a daughter together and she married a Japanese man and had my father, Jotaro--bringing back people from the dead?
[ Think... think... !!! ]
Oh, you mean Caesar? He's here too?
no subject
A daughter... [She trails off for a moment, just going to file that away for later and shove it in Caesar's face. Maybe. Possibly. But it's good to know that somehow this family line continued on and she hadn't expected to know any of this, much less meet her great granddaughter. Being called nonna while you're barely an adult is a little strange, but also... really nice?]
Caesar, ye-... let me guess, Joseph told you about him, too? [Of course Joseph did.]
no subject
Man, our family line is so weird, I hope you’re realizing that...!
But nah, Joseph didn’t tell me anything about Caesar... he also showed up at that other world and I honestly had no idea he was associated with you guys for a long while. He’s a smooth talker.

I was Miss Lisa Lisa's servant for years, trust me, I knew what I was marrying into. [Also it's not like anything else could go wrong as far as she knows, right? R i g h t?]
You mean that place that turned you into an animal? I'm not surprised, Caesar's always been like that. I did live in the same place as him for four years and I swear that man never changes. Or, well, mostly. And you didn't know he was associated with us? I would've thought him and Joseph would be at each other's throats immediately...
no subject
I'm sure there's more surprises for you eventually.
And yup! That's the one! Joseph had been sent back home to his own time before Caesar had arrived, so they didn't have the chance to catch up like that. It's kind of funny to think they would be like that, Caesar worked for my dad who looks a lot like Joseph. I have a picture of him and my mom if you want to see sometime. Sorry I don't have a picture of nonna Holly though.
no subject
Your dad looks a lot like him? I shouldn't be surprised, those genes are strong if what I've seen is anything to go by. I'd be more surprised if he didn't. Though Caesar and Joseph were always a sort of... well, they started out at each other's throats but ended up friends eventually. Even if they were both still loud at every opportunity, but that's not uncommon with people like Caesar and Joseph is... Joseph. [To say the very least.
She mulls over the name of this daughter of her's, letting out a light and airy bit of a laugh.]
Holly. A beautiful name... I would love to see a picture at some point! It's amazing to think that there's so much family after us.
no subject
Also, I guess I should warn you that dad says I'm a lot like great nonno Joseph. So sorry for that in advance--also, I could definitely take a picture of the picture. Hold up.
[ Taking the chance to snap a shot of this picture she sends it over for it to pop up on Suzi's end. ]
Mom is an American, but her family is all Italian. So I guess there's just a lot of that in the family as well.
no subject
You're saying that like it'd be a problem, bambina~ I wouldn't have married him if I didn't find something endearing about his personality, right? [And everyone questions your choices, Suzi, but whatever.
Oh! That! Is a picture! She hums softly to herself as she examines it, goodness.]
I can certainly see why it's funny that Caesar got along with him. He does have a lot of Joseph in him. Though far more serious, it would seem. I guess the Joestar line is just fond of Italians. Not that I'm going to complain. Though, ah, bambina... Does she know what part of Italy her family was from? Merely a curious question! [It is not.]
no subject
I would hazard a guess since a lot of the dishes she taught me how to cook were Neapolitan, but honestly I enjoy food from across all regions of Italy. I mean it's all good stuff to me. I mean who doesn't enjoy dishes like Pesto alla Genovese, or even Risotto alla Milanese?
Man, just thinking about it makes me hungry...
But yeah, dad is pretty serious most all the time, which is why it was so much fun getting to know great nonno Joseph! We had a lot of fun together, and he even taught me a little hamon.
no subject
Though I guess if that's the case then I absolutely need to fill in her gaps since Neapolitan is a lot different from the Northern half of things. And I am glad to hear you enjoy all of it, because they're all certainly different from one another. [Somewhere, she's casually smug about this fact. It's fine, this is fine.]
Oh, you were able to use Hamon that easily?~ Truly, you are quite lucky in that regard, then! But, ah, you know me but I haven't caught your name if you don't want me to just keep calling you bambina for the rest of time. [And she certainly would and certainly will unless Jolyne somehow hits the magical One Nerve.]

Although I think the guy who owned the bath house he worked at was from the north. I don't know, he seemed kind of small and happy all the time. Sure as hell was friendlier than some of the others.
He was only teaching me the basics when he got sent back home, I accidentally shocked a guy I was with when I learned it--Oh right! My name is Jolyne, I don't mind if you default one way or the other though.
Man, I wish Diego where here so I could show him my familiar and tell him to suck it. Because he was so sure that I could never have a unicorn.
