Others have spoken of nightmares. I know there are remedies, but I think it would help me more just to...talk. About what I have seen. Some of it has to be in my mind. But I can't help feeling sick and...guilty.

I am needed somewhere else. I know I am. (The voices she hears in her dreams are unmistakable. Anakin is calling for her. And sometimes there are small cries too; the cries of infants.)

Does anyone know about the Force? What about the Jedi?

The Sith? (She knows at least one person is aware of those subjects, but are there others?)

I’m afraid I don’t know of those things you mentioned, but I’d be curious to learn about them! And…if you need someone to listen, I’d be happy to do so. I know all too well what it’s like to feel like you should be somewhere else.

From what I understand, the Force is...life. The energy all life gives to be precise. And the Jedi are those who can commune with the Force and use it to better the galaxy.

As for the Sith...

They are basically the opposite of the Jedi. Their desires are self-serving and often about acquiring power.

I see, that’s very fascinating! It sounds rather like mana and mages, but I’m sure there are many little nuances of difference.

[Mash pauses, considering how to reply.]

Given the circumstances back home, I haven’t really had much time to dwell on feeling guilty. [She still manages to sneak it in, though.] I think, though, that it helps to remember that no matter where you are, even if it isn’t where you want to be, you are still performing an important role. You are a valuable asset to those around you. You can still do good and make a difference.

If I were a Jedi or a Sith, for that matter, I could tell you more. The Jedi especially have studied the Force extensively.

(While the details are fascinating, it's not something a normal person like her can fully grasp.)

Reminding myself of that is well and good - I like helping others - but I can't forget that I'm not helping my family. They need me more than ever and here I am living in some fantasy.

Both me and my sister are needed somewhere else, so the feeling is definitely familiar to me. But that also gives me more motivation to work towards saving the worlds.

A cage... I can definitely understand why it would feel like that. Especially with the current state of the sky looming over us.

We are working towards saving all of our worlds. The Calamity won't just affect this place but our homes as well.

It's difficult to imagine anything reaching so far. No one here has even heard of my galaxy.

I am willing to fight; I will do anything to aid those who call this planet home. But I'm needed, desperately, elsewhere and my dreams won't let me forget.

Never heard of any of those things. At home if you offered up to the god of sleep, he could help with nightmares.

But that doesn't work here. Talking helps, I think even cognitive mages can visit them with you and that might help work through them, too.

Have you ever heard of Naboo by chance? I know there are many galaxies and dimensions, apparently, so the probability is low, but I have to ask. That's the name of my home world.

This is... going to sound really weird.

The world I came from was a nexus world. Sort of like Avalon, people could come from different worlds, different universes, different realities.

Long story short, I was married to one for a bit there.

It's complicated, but she was a Jedi, and I know all about it. I've also had the privilege of being smacked with a training lightsaber, so good times.

We are all needed somewhere. It helps to remember that the places where we are needed are frozen in time at the moment.

I can offer some tea, if you wish to speak in person. I heard it is both good for sleep and for comfort.

[It is not as effective as other magical remedies but it sounds like she doesn't merely want to be rid of the nightmares. They weren't close but he didn't mind making the offer to talk. He knew very well about nightmares.]

I'm afraid I won't be able to do much. Unless the afterlife provides some method of communications, that is.

I can tell you for a fact that ghosts exist. So, the communication you describe isn't impossible.

Sith is the word the Scottish use. In Ireland, I believe the term is Aos Si. The "i" should have a different sort of mark over it in both, but I need to look up how to write it on our phones.

They're a race of non-human beings, or perhaps more accurately, several species that have cultural or geographical ties. You'll quite possibly run into them here.
