A mess I invariably have to clean up. I may just take the others' suggestions to cut the piece into smaller portions after all and attempt to ignore the way he is smirking at me right now.

Utilize the larger portion of the loaf and make a Japanese toast box. Tell him it is a single dish and that he is expected to finish it.

How would one make this...toast box? Does one fold it into a cube and pack filling in it?
