I just wouldn't know what to do? You can't really use it as a sandwich slice, and it won't fit in a toaster.

Art needn't have specific practical applications! Provoking an emotional response is the primary function, after all, and I believe it fulfilled that. :)

Art is greater than the mere sum of its components! If you wish to look at it that way, even the most beautiful painting is naught but a collection of pigment and canvas. A statue is a lump of rock, and writing only has power as long as the language it was written in yet exists.

Well now, if we accept that art does not depend on its mere physical form, what exactly stops the long piece of bread from being art? It challenges our perception of what is 'normal' and prompts one to question why we are so eager to dismiss anything that falls outside of those norms.
