[So does anyone remember the 'poor guy' who got 'stabbed' and 'died' earlier this month? Probably not Of course you do.

Here he is, clearly not dead (to the surprise of no one), but there seems to be some...ketchup on his elbow? Except the tissue appears to be torn as well, and oh no...that's DEFINITELY not ketchup this time. Also he's grinning, but looks completely unhinged. Half of the said arm also seems to have what looks like porcupine quills on them, piercing his clothing.]

It seems our patron DISLIKED our little bit of THEATRE. They ATTEMPTED to send someone to stab me. During a siege, no less. Especially when I was TRYING TO HELP!

[Wow it sounds like Akechi for those who know him, but he's breathing sporadically as he's talking.]

Except, shall I explain how it was a monumental fucking waste of time to try?

[And he starts laughing. And doesn't stop. It seems someone's been affected by the fighting and maybe a little healing would be useful to bring him back to 'normal'. Or, you could try to talk him down?]

[What an idiot. She doesn't know he's cursed yet, but something still doesn't seem right, and with all the fighting going on in the city, it isn't right to just leave him to do whatever he wants.

So she heads to the location he sends her, her axe slung over one shoulder. She doesn't want a fight, but she's also smart enough to know to expect one, so she calls over to him when she spots him.]

[There has to be something wrong with him, after all, if he's mostly ignoring the battle in the city and just picking a fight with everyone.

It seems to have affected his magic too, unable to truly concentrate enough to transform properly, he now looks half insane man, half crow with black feathers covering many parts of his body. In his hand, a sword that looks more like a gigantic red and black butter knife, but large enough to be wielded in his left hand.]

I can't believe you showed up.

[He laughs again like his video feed, unhinged.]

I've been wanting a good fight for months...now everything seems like they should just be sliced right open!

[If he didn't look crazy, Susie would think his look was actually pretty badass. As is, she swings her axe down and holds it into a fighting stance.]

Oh yeah? Then get the hell over here and try it, dumbass.

[She might be worried about him, but she also loves a good fight, so part of her is already enjoying this.]

Bringing an axe to the fight won't save you!

[He doesn't waste time after that, running over to her with such speed it was almost like he was flying on the ground. Their weapons clash together and it seems like whatever is affecting him has removed any hesitation he might have had about fighting.

If Akechi wasn't affected, he might almost find it ironic, considering his own older powers. Maybe that's why he wasn't completely gone like some others.]

Just watch! I'll kick your feathery ass then pluck it like a chicken!

[Their weapons clash, and she grins, showing huge rows of fangs. She tries to use her larger bulk to shove him back and off balance, then to swing her axe forward.]

[This is like throwing gasoline into Akechi's war-fueled fire. It is, however, almost a good thing because it may help Susie get an edge on him to at least try to tire him or use a power on him since his own mind isn't really thinking about what HE could be doing apart from fighting.

He caws (please tell him about this later) at her like an angry bird before being pushed back, but stupidly just trying to ram back into her.]

[She's struck a nerve.]

[She has size and brute force over him if nothing else, but provoking him seems to be making him reckless too. When their weapons clash again, she lets go of her axe with one hand and drives her elbow down into his shoulder.

If he was going to go wild, who said she couldn't fight dirty herself?]

[ Her eyes narrow, but her voice stays calm. It's like they're discussing the weather or something. There's a brief moment where she breaks the eye contact to get a glance at what's behind him, to see if she can tell exactly where he is--but it's not long. She's back to staring him down a second later. ]

Yeah? Got your appetite up for blood, huh?

That's right...it feels so great! Like I could take on everyone by myself!

[ Berserkers, man. Size really doesn't matter when you've got a good and proper rage built up. ]

I wouldn't recommend it, though. It wouldn't be worth the headache later.

[The worst part is he could add some size if he wanted to. The curse on him is, ironically, stopping him from having the mindset of turning into the bigger creatures that could REALLY make some bad damage due to his over-a-year training.]

What's the point if you can't? It feels like I don't need to think about the future anymore. Just act like I want!

[ It's kind of a shoddy one, in a lot of ways, but it's still more of one than what Ritsuka has lived in for the past four years. Her lips press into a thin line, though that's the only other visible sign of her concern. ]

[ Maybe if she's lucky, she can find Beowulf on the way... not that she really wants to set off a berserker vs berserker battle, but she's not a moron. She knows exactly how nonexistent her fighting abilities are--but look, even if she's only talked to this guy once, she's worried. It seems like a bad idea for him as much as anyone else to let him just run amok. ]

[If she knew his history she might not be using that against him. That being said, he is opening up more than usual due to the effect. If it makes her want to attack him, all the better.

He sends her his exact location. Very stupid. Or really that desperate for a fight.]

[ Even as she says that, she starts walking. Honestly, it's a tossup who's the stupid one here, because Ritsuka knows damn well she's no good for a serious fight. Most of what she knows is self-defense, and that's more stuff she could apply to a mugger or someone trying to jump her, not a guy who's hyped up on violence.

But also, she can't just not do something about it. She's not looking to get killed or anything, but she can't just turn her back on this, either. ]
