Sometimes others do things that end up being unexpected. Besides, you said 'normally'. Sometimes we all have bad days, don't we?

... Did Susie tell you? A monster's SOUL is made of love, hope, and compassion. Anytime that they've hut someone is because they thought they were doing what was best for others.

That's...interesting, I suppose. One could argue what makes a soul a soul as well. But there is an expression in my world;

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

Hell being a netherworld that some humans assume souls go if they've been evil in their life. Of course who knows if that's true or not.

It's because monsters are... special. We're not like humans. Susie and I are made out of magic. It probably sounds like something from a story if magic doesn't exist in your world.

... You were a cop in your world, huh? I bet you ended up helping a lot of people, but... saw a lot of bad things, too. Sometimes, people who are kind can really hurt others.

( A saying like that is something Asriel knows all too well. After all, he had his own secret plan with his sibling that involved bringing harm to others. But, if he had gone through with it back then, monsters would be free from where they had been trapped. )

It's a long story, in that regard. One could argue that magic exists, but most humans don't know it's there. Some chosen ones have a special powers and can enter the...ahh but I'm rambling on.

Close, but not quite. I was a detective, working with the justice department system. Arguably above police officers. They called me the second coming of the detective prince due to my age and all. I saw a lot of 'bad things' true...you already know I'm dead in my world, right?

Not really. The area where the wound was applied is not connected to a particular vein that would sprout a large amount of blood in a human, but still be fatal. Moreover, the knife, being still stuck in the body, would stop a lot of the remaining blood from gushing out, and some of it would pool under the body. This is why, when one hurts themselves with such a wound, it is suggested to get to the hospital with the knife still stuck in the wound.

Perhaps if the knife had been removed before the picture was taken, or if the corpse had been shot with a large gun of some sort, it would make more sense.
