If you were to read the following as a poem, how would you interpret it?

But that's the beauty of it! We only have so many pictures and we have to use them very precisely, it's like the structures and character limits of poetry. It's a challenge.

I suppose πŸ•ŠοΈ is a fair enough proposal for this type of motion. Now it's law. Though Hanguang-jun has suggested music, as a means of travel, which I think deserves consideration as well.

βœ”οΈπŸ”

Second line is obvious, with tears falling like rain on plants and all.

Third line...heartbroken thoughts, dreams, like a night without stars?

Maybe I'm better at poetry than I thought, at least in this format.

Final line...is the person I love at home, or do I love a ghost?

Very poignant. Next you should put some of the pictures on a fan.

Oh I see, I see! The element of motion, I didn't consider it. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ poem though sad. Or possibly sad. The title IS pessimistic, and that sort of tips it.

And I agree, it'd be too busy. You'd have to simplify them, but I believe you could.

Right, so possibly sad! Maybe they didn't go to sea. Maybe they just went on an errand.

You might even find patrons, who knows. Not me, I'd just lose a fan immediately. But other people.

...Well, it's less sad that way. Maybe the market was very far away, like an overnight trip!! That's the beauty of poetry, we just don't know anything about anything.

That's a good question! For someone else. Probably just refining a few examples of your work, and then getting people to notice? You'll need money some time and you don't want to go on quests for it.

It's not even my poem! I was trying to make it better! And I still am. The market has the best things so it's fine. That's what's poetic now, is it being far away so you have to work for it but it's worth it, you bring back the best gifts.

They wouldn't be, for you! They're hard work sometimes. Better to just find people who would want fans. Or paintings. A nice message, but in little phone pictures instead of flowers.

It was sad! I guess I'm choosing to interpret it less sadly. To strike a blow against sadness. And yes the gift has to be very good to do that, but surely it would be if it can only be got with so much hardship. Maybe more gifts just to be sure.

Well doing the work is the first step, but you probably already know that. After that I guess you would just have it be visible? Easy for you, already writing elegant poetry on the network and making yourself known, not like a ghost.
raveyardpatriarch: (i don't like it either but here we are)

Yes, if the gifts are good enough. I'm surprised you're questioning this. And nothing's wrong with sadness if you can get rid of it eventually.

Known for what? This humble servant Wei has no need for a reputation in this life.

Then you get rid of it anyway. Wine on a roof under the stars, or poetry in little pictures, or however. You just keep trying because the alternative is being sad. It's a good motivation.

You see? It's not bad. But I will put things on the network if there's a good reason! Like looking for curses. All business here at Wei manor.
