If you were planning on going after the dragon because of the quest, don't bother anymore. It's dead.
[Ooc: anon until proven otherwise, brought to you by Jean, Mikasa and Mukuro not wanting to make a public announcement but also wanting to save others from making the trip.
Though it's still likely gonna be something that people will find out about, considering Celliwig will think of them as heroes ksjffd but anyway.]

And ah, um it's okay. I take it you caught wind of my little "memory" experiment...

[He won't lie if he says that it makes his life easier when someone else did the deed!]
But, yes, I heard of it. And I still apologize I hadn't been there for you during it. There was no excuse for me not to be... tell me, truly, are you feeling well.

[ Monika forgets to reply to the souvenir bit because of her typing increasingly heated replies to the dragon worshipers above. Not that she has anything against dragons, but she felt like people were forgetting this dragon had literally burnt a city to the ground.
... Yet again, she knew something about monsters doing things they didn't mean to. ]
Um, I guess I'm okay. [That's a really "meh" okay.] I thought if I forgot my past maybe I would have an easier time finding happiness... But it turns out I can't appreciate happiness half as much without my memories.

[He might just have... a word with him later. Moving on though!]
Memories are quite interesting things aren't they? As much as we despise them, or wish to forget them they are part of how we enjoy our lives. An important part of being alive. I think it is good you took the time to do what had, however.

[ Maybe she just couldn't relate to a dragon so she was a bit detached... But if it had been a human burning down a city, she was pretty sure nobody would both trying to make friend with said human. ]
Yeah... I guess it puts things in perspective. Reaching the top of a mountain means nothing unless your once stood at the bottom. [A pause.] But trying to scale the mountain only to fail every time is kind of discouraging, too...

pls don't delete no one here monika] But yes, the peaceful solution should always be the one a person strives for. However, one cannot always remain peaceful first. Some actions and decisions require you to put your foot down firmly, so to speak. When something lashes out in anger, especially when it knows what it's doing, when it reaches that point where it does not first seek peace for even the smallest slight. Then there is no other choice but to fight. As it does not care for peace until it's in a corner.
While what they said might be agreeable on a base level, it lacks in understanding of reality. Of duty, and of care for others. They are filled with anger and contempt instead. Threats and personal vainglory. Therefore, their words should not be given much in the way of thought beyond a potential glance.
[His own thinking would align with her own that aspect.]
Ah, yes climbing that mountain is hard. It is one of the most difficult things you can do. But you only truly fail if you don't keep going at it. So take heart, and keep climbing. What's important is that you've done the best you can while learning and enjoying the climb.
[He gives her a fatherly smile here.]
I for one, believe in you. Whatever happens or where your climb takes you.

Unless she completely breaks down but she has no control over that. ]Yeah... Like, I think a while back I may have been on their side completely. But I've gone through enough to know reality doesn't work that way. [She smiled sadly.] Sometimes, monsters are too dangerous to be left alive.
[ That had been her, once. The player hadn't killed her necessarily because they hadn't understood her plight or because they didn't sympathize... But because she had been scary, dangerous. She had done horrible things when backed into a corner. Being a monster doesn't mean being irredeemably evil, but only that you are dangerous to all around you. ]
Ahaha, thank you Beowulf. You have a gift for cheering me up, you know? I guess I can't stop the climb after hearing that!

Just Monkia ♥]Things are never quite that easy or simple and when an action is taken its done. [He'll give her a warmer smile in return.] Sometimes is still sometimes though. Remember, a true monster is one that holds no remorse.
But I'm happy that my rambling has helped you at least a little bit! You're smart, clever, kind and recognize right from wrong. And I know whatever decision or path you climb will continue to lead you to new heights and closer to your summit.

[ She clearly had immense regrets. She wished she could undo all the evil she'd done. But at the same time, she didn't want her friends to come here and steal the spotlight from her once more... She wondered what that made her? ]
When you word it that way, how can I give up? [She laughed.] I hope you'll be there to see me when I'll get there! I hope to prove myself worthy of a legendary hero's friendship then!
