I am stuck in my inn room by this white plague.
My own jewelry is so cold it burns my skin.
Attempted to build a fire, but the circle box on the ceiling began to screech deafeningly.
Someone give me a proper burial when this is over.

Don't you even think of it, Horus! I'll revive you before you even get the chance!
[It's not even registering to him that's he's slipped up in not using titles of address again.
He's quite miffed.]

Hmmmm... Come slowly. Set is coming to save me.
He's not very smart so we'll probably both need saving but I want to see what he does first. π
[ He's not kidding though Walter should probably come for them, just like, hold off long enough that he can faceplant into those pecs maybe. ]

And then he looks at the new message.]
If you're at the inn, then no. I have enough ground to cross as is.
[Fortunately, he's got his cloak on, which will be enough to wrap Horus in. But this Set... he's never met the man, he'll just have to think of something once he gets there.]
Tell me where you are, and you and this Mister Set of yours can keep each other warm until I get there.

[ He never corrects when Walter doesn't use titles with him, though. He likes feeling like he's got a friend who doesn't feel a need to elevate him.
But can do on the warmth!! π ]

[And a king at the same time, it would seem. Given their first conversation, it's an easy enough picture to piece together.]
I'll remember.

[ And yet he's coming to save him and Horus wants to let him, so that's probably the second bombshell in this conversation after implying his father is the king of the underworld. ]

[That story sounds about as plausible as the one with Lady Sekhmet.]
This king wouldn't happen to be the same King Set you told me about when we first met, would he?
no subject
I'll tell you more of him later. There's much I still wish to learn.

[The nice warm fire, nestled in that nice little fireplace they have in the house he shares with his friend.]

[ Typos are starting as his fingers start freezing too much u_u ]

[His words may be cold, but he quickens his pace.]
A warm meal and a warm drink will do you just as good.
voice;
[ In the background, Set's voice rings out with "Horus?! Can you hear me?!" though it's even harder to hear, given the alarm. ]
We'll wait for your arrival, Walter. Perhaps pick up a shovel on the way.
no subject
Don't you worry. I'll find a way to get you out quickly.

[ HE'LL LOSE A TOE FOR A GOOD SET CUDDLE, THANKS. He hangs up now. ]
Direct (Private) Text
Horus sounds awfully fond of his 'mortal enemy'.
When Walter does eventually get to the inn, he sends off a text to Horus' phone.]
I'm here. Are you ready to be rescued yet?
no subject
Either way, he has to mention it to Set that someone's coming before he responds anyway, so it takes probably just long enough to make Walter worry before he responds. ]
Come get us, Sir Hero!
Action!
Consequentially, he passes the time by clearing out the entrance to the inn... which is presently where the tenant to the room he decided to commandeer a door from is now complaining bitterly about him.
It's midway through having to listen to the rant that Walter realizes he's missed a message. Now ignoring said irate tenant as they complain to the person at the desk, Walter reads over the message, then promptly walks out the doors...
...taking the commandeered door with him.]
Horus~!
[He calls his friend's name out loud, his tone languid and sing-song.]
Are you still alive? Have you frozen yourself stiff yet?
sorry for the wait! jumping in
So somebody was coming to help you?
[And Set hadn't been needed. It wasn't exactly a trick but Set also realizes he didn't need to come. Also it looks bad if he's here with Horus. He moves to go, trying to push Horus off.]
Go and don't let him see me.
[Dramatic.]
π
[ Horus turns his head to look in the direction Walter is calling from. He would've told Walter to stay away if he didn't think they would both need help eventually. Cuddling is amazing and Horus can't say he's not happy about it. He doesn't stop Set from pushing him away, but doesn't pull any further than he's forced to. He speaks in a normal voice. No need to hide that he showing to Set. ]
He called when you were already on the way. Neither of us would've made it this long without injury if you hadn't come.
[ He holds up his fingers in between them, the tips tinted purple. His lips look slightly warmer, but still not their usual tone. He'd be without any color if Set hadn't come. Maybe Set would've fared okay without him. ]
I can't let anyone or anything else kill you either. You're coming.
no subject
Ah. There you are.
[One... two people. The other person must be the Lord Set that Horus mentioned.]
I decided against the shovel in the end. It would have taken too long to dig you out with something so small.
no subject
[But then there is Walter, peeking in. Without thinking, Set glares. He isn't trying to be a jerk but he is trying to come off as if he's Horus' enemy here. As if he hadn't been trying to keep him warm.
He does stand, with his barely functional coat which is really just a thin jacket. Just to look big and menacing, as if he truly is the villain.]
So then you came for this chick.
no subject
Are you two competing for the most dramatic entrance?
no subject
No, but it almost looks like your dear enemy is concerned I'm here to roast you, little chick.
[Set called Horus a chick first. He's running with it. Serves Horus right for making him wait.]
Just to be clear, I'm here to steal you both away.
no subject
So he pushes Horus away and tries to go back to the intimidation tactic that isn't working.]
If you could kill him then he wouldn't worth keeping alive. [Yikes.
But he does move to go past Walter.] I'm not coming with you. You two can go off to play.
no subject
[ Horus tries for all of two seconds to fight Set pushing him off, though it doesn't last past Set saying he's not coming. Horus's expression gets a little more serious and, frankly, slightly irate. He gets where Set is coming from, but this is a very real threat. They could both genuinely freeze out here. Convincing him through means of his wellbeing or care never work, so Horus tries a more dramatic, but not necessarily untrue tactic: ]
You're from a time before I was born, remember? If you die here from exposure, I'll die back home before we even get a chance to meet. You can sulk in the corner at Walter's.
