[ Louis appears on the camera, and behind him is a very empty looking room at the inn. Perfect - just how he decorates. He leans back into a chair and has his arms folded over his chest. ]
I was away for a few months and things got bad here, it looks like. I think I have the short version of what happened, and I don't need all of the details. Besides, that's not why I'm here on the network.
[ He considers and then -- ]
In December, at home, we have a Holiday called Rexmas. It's to be spent with families and loved ones, gift giving, that sort of thing. I wager other places have similar holidays, and if you want - you can share what yours are. I'm admittedly a bit curious. December is always busy and eventful for me, and this is the first year in many where I don't anticipate being busy, so I don't know what to do with myself.
Which made me get an idea, which I suspect that a lot of people will like.
[ His tone doesn't shift, and his attention seems solidly on the camera. His tone is...formal, almost stern. ]
I'm thinking that the first weekend of December we should have a party for everyone. A formal party, or maybe a masquerade? Maybe let me know what sounds more fun for you. An opportunity for people to dress up in something nice and enjoy each other's company. To drink, and dance, and party, essentially.
I've worked to organize events like this at home many times before, so I have no problem securing a location, and working to organize the event. As long as others are willing to volunteer to help with setup of it.
[ He unfolds his arms, and his body seems to relax. He smiles a little. ]
That being said, I want to make sure everyone can fully enjoy themselves, and it's a safe event. So I do have a few things that I want to ensure are absolutely going to be rules.
First, children under the age of sixteen will be forbidden to stay after nine in the evening. Second, all weapons are to be left at home. Third, no fighting with magic, either. Magic may be used for the purpose of entertainment at the event.
Again, I want a peaceful, safe event - so these are the only real non-negotiables. Beyond those, I'm open to suggestions, contributors. That's sort of thing.

[ Look at this reply. There's absolutely not a single hint of hesitation on Minako's end - she looks excited as all heck about this idea, a grin stretching from ear to ear.
.. though it's apparently not the only thing she has to say. ]
But I'm glad you're proposing an under sixteen age limit, because if you upped that even one yet, I would have thrown a fit! [ She is a partying sixteen year old who wants to be respected. Clearly. ]

[ He...doesn't sound like he's joking, but he is. ]
no subject
Do you hear that pause?
That's the exact time Minako needs to consider whether or not he's joking. She figures he is, but his tone sounds so convincingly like he isn't, that Minako is starting to look more and more shocked by the moment. ]
N-No way, right? That's a joke, isn't it?! You wouldn't do that to a beautiful girl, would you?! [ Please, Minako, you're talking to a deer. ]

[ He's completely immune to teenage girls. Since she reacted, he's gonna play along a little. ]
If I found a reason to, I would. Fortunately for everyone, I haven't found a reason to.

[ Apparently she is still very much taking him seriously.
Even though Minako's tone is sounding ridiculously dramatic - but that's just how it usually is, really. ]
I can speak from experience that sixteen year old girls are the most fun people you could have around! They have something that no one else has..!
no subject
[ Said totally seriously. ]
I speak as someone who went to school with many teenage girls that's not the case.

[ Some of the dramatics drop - rather abruptly too, as they're quickly replaced by a look on her face that seems a tad more.. annoyed, almost. ]
You aren't serious about this, are you? What have young girls ever done to you?
no subject
Obviously not.
i'm so sorry, i never got a notif for this!
[ Seriously, how does he pull it off? Minako seems genuinely baffled - or perhaps still a little confused as to what is really is by now. ]
all good, a lil mia this december lol
[ He's going to just continue messing. ]
it's ok, it happens!!
[ It sounds like both a realisation and Minako thinking she's made a good point at the same time. Full of confidence.
Except then she pauses, the confidence seeming to drop a little as she continues with: ]
.. I think. [ No, Minako, don't falter on your own argument here!! ]
