Kid looks like he went for a swim fully clothed, which isn't too far from the truth. ]

My name is Sasuke Uchiha. Not that it means anything here, but I'm a ninja from the village hidden in the leaves. [ He sounds maaaaybe a little bit salty. Though that could just be because of the day he's having. In either case, while he knows Konoha doesn't exist here, part of him hopes he's not the only shinobi in Avalon.

He sighs. ]

Look, I'll keep this brief: I need to learn how to weaponize my healing magic. [ ... ] I'll take any leads I can get.

[ It sounds ridiculous (and it definitely is) but Sasuke has a one-track mind when it comes to most things. He's determined to get stronger, and the power of healing kind of gets in the way of that.

There's a sound from offscreen like a bird mimicking laughter. Sasuke glares in the direction of the sound. ]

Shut up. No one asked you.

But to answer your question, the obvious is strength boosting. Definitely seen that in action and it's quite effective.

Strength boosting? [ He wouldn't have expected that to count. Not that he's complaining. He's just glad healing magic isn't as useless as he thought. ] How much of a boost are we talking about here?

You mean in combat? I've only used it as armor lately, but it's feeling a little stronger now, like there's force still behind it. You could probably train that. Condense it to a "point", and attack.

Where else am I gonna use it? [ Maybe to actually heal people, but then that would be using it as intended. And it wouldn't be very weaponized. ]

...Hold on, you can use it like armor? [ Maybe healing magic is more versatile than he thought. ] Does it work like real armor, or is it just healing wounds as you get them?

[ He's not sure the distinction matters much, but he's admittedly curious. Magic and healing are outside his area of expertise. ]

[To say Hanabi is shocked is an understatement. It's one thing to be told that time differences were possible here. Seeing it for herself is another thing entirely. Despite being in her elder sister's graduating class, he is very clearly not sixteen, and he's identifying as being from Konoha.

She takes a moment to compose herself before turning on the video feed. It's hard to miss that she's Hyuuga, given the telltale pale eyes. Her forehead is also uncovered and unmarked, revealing herself as being from the main house.]

[ He doesn't know Hanabi, but that doesn't really set off any alarm bells. He hasn't exactly interacted with many of the Hyuuga outside Neji and Hinata. Honestly, he's just glad he's not the only one from home stuck here. Even better that she's from Konoha. It means he has an ally here.

Her question does catch him off guard, though, and he raises an eyebrow curiously. "Training" wouldn't really be a useful answer, so he opts for the last thing he remembers impacting the village as a whole. ]

You can use it to strengthen your body, or add a bit of protection to yourself and others.

...But the actual healing part is going to serve you far better in a fight.

After a fight, maybe. In the middle of battle, it's better to focus on your opponent and surroundings.

You can use it to cast protection magic on yourself. It can also be used to strengthen senses like vision or hearing.

Ah, but it also depends on what your second magic is. I've found that healing magic works well to mitigate the side effects of blood magic.

[And thus isn't a weapon but makes using blood magic longer offensively more possible.]

[ Alright, so maybe healing magic has some benefits in actual combat. The mention of secondary magic immediately puts a prominent scowl on his face. ]

I, too, use my healing magic to mitigate my blood magic. Otherwise I don't find it terribly useful at all.

Some others mentioned using healing magic to increase physical strength. Have you tried that at all, or are people exaggerating its usefulness?

Spoken like a true amateur. If you wish to learn how to use your healing magic offensively, you must first learn how to utilize it properly. After all, there are few things more dangerous than a foe who won't go down, healing magic is the key to keeping the upper hand in a fight.

Tch. Properly? If it's being used, what does it matter if I focus on the offensive? Being able to stay standing isn't going to matter if there isn't any power behind my attacks.

I've never heard of anyone using healin' magic as a weapon...but I think you can still use it to make yourself stronger for a little while. I haven't tried it meself yet, though.

[Robyn's already pretty used to using her healing magic to heal wounds and treat illnesses, but she has yet to try using it offensively.]

Me neither. Back home, medical-nin usually stayed away from the front lines. Which isn't something I'm about to do. [ He's scowling, and it's pretty clear he's frustrated (and maybe a little resentful) at his whole situation. He's not a medic and never wanted to be one, thank you very much.

Ehh... I mean. If you worked on having powerful self-regeneration that could be incredibly useful in a long fight. It might not be a way to weaponize it but... That's the advantage I'd see.

Maybe... [ He frowns. ] It would depend on how fast it is. If I were to go up against someone with more...destructive abilities, regeneration will only get me so far. I'd need something that can actually pack a punch.

I don't know about weaponizing the magic itself, but you could always utilize the sensations you can create with it to slow down an opponent. Or augment your strength.

Anything in excess is bad, but I don't know how healing magic works in that regard. You might have to get creative.
